Hmmm. Is there the distinct possibility that nothing is healthy? :eh:

It's never been healthy to drink dirty water.

And in my professional caffeine-addicted opinion, that's all decaf coffee is.

Real coffee rocks, decaf is nasty (and what's the point of drinking coffee if you're not getting the buzz?).

'Nuff said.

Off course, I'm a coffee lover myself. But for years people have been saying coffee is deadly and you should drink decaf, only now do they say that decaf can be bad as well. That's what I mean with "everything is unhealthy".

Choose your poison, I guess. It's probably not so bad for you. Anyway, if you have problems with ingesting too much caffeine, I wouldn't switch back because of this.

In fairness to the decaf crowd, it really does demand a followup, larger scale study. But I despise coffee in all its forms anyway. :P

Meh. These days everything causes either cancer or heart disease. If we avoided all the things that will eventually kill us, we would all die of starvation. I am going to go on eating what I want to eat, and not worry about it.

They can't make their minds up. In the 80s and 90s it was cholesterol that would kill you and anything that contained it was to be avoided like the plague. Then it was fat. Then it was carbohydrates and sugar. I'm wondering what the next trend is going to be...-o-

I agree with others on this thread, every year they come out with studies that change what the previous ones said. For example, when i was an infant my mother laid me on my stomache because if i spat up on my back they said i would drown. Now its considered horrible to do anything but put them on their backs. We can't always avoid our physical death and i also just think we should take things in moderation and go into get a checkup every now and then to watch for illnesses and get treatment for them. Really avoiding every disease or physical weakness? Man, and these people think we are crazy for liking fantasy stories like anime!

And whither then? I cannot say."

Geepers. Wow. For years, my father's heart doctor has been telling him to drink decaf since he's had two heart attacks. How absolutely awful that it could contribute to more bad cholesterol!

Is nothing safe? T_T

You know, breathing causes death, right? Studdies have shown repeatedly that the more breaths one takes, the closer one gets to death.

It's a conspiracy, actually. Every study I've seen takes it as "assumed" that each participant will breath. This makes all the data they've come up with as skewed, though, as far as I can tell. You simply cannot difentiate between whether or not breathing was the primary cause of death in the study. It's very scary and not a little bit unsetteling.

Well laptops do emit radioactivity as do cell phones.(in other words they are trying to kill us all! :shady: ).Hmmm maybe breathing is a secondary killer.

.....people either won't adopt the principle of moderation or accept the fact that one day, like it or not, they will die. I'd rather worry more about how I'm spending my life rather than how long I'll live. If God should decide that coffee'll be the death of me, so be it.

*sips coffee*

Btw, I don't do decaf. What's the point if there's no caffeine? ;)

So much "thought" going into the discussions here, I see.

Caffiene after noonish will cause me to wake up multiple times during the night. As such, I like to only drink decaff after noon. I love the taste, and the warm liquid both relaxing and comforting.
