I Am So Sad!!!

I am sooo sad! Because there's this anime I used to LOVE when I was younger...RONIN WARRIORS/YOROIDEN SAMURAI TROOPERS - it's old school...Anyway, I used to adore it. I watched it every day after school with my little brother on Cartoon Network "Toonami". Then once I figured out how to use the Internet, I would look up sites on it. I've seen 99% of the pictures that are available, read a lot of fanfiction, didn't bother with fanart, but I still interacted with mistresses of various fansites, and I was really into it....

But then, after a few years of dedication, I got more involved with my social life and perhaps other anime. So, I drifted away from it....

And now, somehow I came across an old great fansite, which is owned by a website mistress I used to exchange emails with....and..it brought back memories...so I was remininsensing by checking up on the sites I used to visit regularly...and I kept searching for them on search engines...but MOST OF THEM DIDN'T COME UP!!!!!!!!!!

Either the search engines are very bad, or those darling mistresses abandoned their sites!....And of course, that's the natural thing to do...since Ronin Warriors aired when I was BORN...but...still,

it made me veryyyyyy ultra super really sad that something that used to be a PART OF ME is now......practically DEAD....

I don't know if you guys understand me...but I just had to let this out...But there was no other place to do it. None of my other friends understand me...

Okie, T-chan is done! Byebye

Yup, I loved that show too. It came out when I was in fourth grade (ie, a billion years ago), then it was... dormant for a while and then reemerged in Cartoon Network. That was when I was a ninth grader. That means FIVE YEARS OF NO RONIN WARRIORS!

Does anyone remember the cheesy toys they made for those? The had springs inside so you could pull back the arm or leg and it would "punch." Also, you could make the figures get into all sorts of weird wrestling or jujitsu positions. But for that to work, you had to strip off the armor. Which is another cool thing...THE ARMOR CAN BE REMOVED TO SHOW THE RONIN WARRIORS SANS THE ARMOR! (don't get the wrong idea--underneath was just some kind of under-armor).

That is the way of how old fansites go T_T

I remember I had one of the action figures, I had this bad guy... you applied armor on him and he had tons of weapons! it was cool!

Well I did get a little when they stopped showing G-Force, Robotech, and Voltron back in the day. But then I just bought the Robotech: Macross Saga about two years ago for about $30 and it was awesome watching the whole thing again.:thumb:

I couldn't find a Ronin Warriors boxset online, but most places I found each volume was about $10 so that's a pretty good price.

aww...Little T-chan *comfort hug* I know how this feels.

I've always loved watching Astroboy when it was on TV. Every Saturday I got up early and watched him with the other cartoons.

Then one day, they stopped airing it...:( I was so sad. Back then I didn't know Astroboy was an Anime, I didn't even know Anime.

Astroboy was the best, non-fanservicey, non stupid adult cartoons. The whole family would enjoy it.

Now they've come up with this new version of Astroboy, and it looks so...stupid. :stressed:
