I just heard from my recruiter. I got Airborne communications. and I leave the 28th of February 2006 for basic training.
This is what the Air Force site says about my job.
Airborne Communications Systems Apprentice
Air Force pilots know that communication is key in the air – and they rely on the Airborne Communications Systems Apprentice to keep those lines of communication open. As an Airborne Communications Systems Apprentice, you will be responsible for performing several preflight, in-flight and postflight duties, including operating, maintaining and repairing radio equipment, replacing defective components on aircraft audio distribution systems and securing data/voice systems and satellite communications systems. After completing technical school, you will be assigned to a specific aircraft and will continue your training at your first duty assignment. You will be on flying status as an Aircrew member and required to fly with the aircraft.
Just wanted to let you guys know that. ^_^
