Where would you be without CAA?

Postby HwaRang777 » Fri Sep 23, 2005 9:37 pm

Hey guys.

Like the title says. I think I would still be doing some stuff that I think you know what it is :red: (I'm a guy and I like anime, i hope you can figure that out) I'm so glad that the CAA exists. If it is Ashley (although I'm not entirely sure) or another one of the administrators I am so thankful that they had enough money and the idea to host a site like this. Thanx, guys *gives big hug to all administrators*

Without the many admins running this board we wouldn't exactly be able to chat freely and happily to each other, and all the friends I've made on this board I probably would not meet anywhere else. Kind of a sad thought. Thanks admins! And thanks members for making such a great forum. ^_~*

Though I admit it's not me that pays (and I won't reveal who is because I'm not sure they'd want the attention), we are more than happy to do so for you guys. ^^

Hmm...if it were not for CAA...well, I'd have a lot more free time! No, seriously, I'd be missing out on some of the most important relationships in my life. (including a very important one *hint hint wink wink* XD) I've met some of my best friends in the entire world because of this site, and I've encountered a lot of good anime titles to boot! Mostly, though, I'd be spiritually lacking, because God has granted me a lot of experience through this--I feel much more mature and capable of not only ministry, but basic Christian life because of the lessons I've learned here.

I'd have been more lonely and depressed at times, and not as much the Christian/forum geek/aspiring theology geek/writer that I am. CAA is responsible for most of my extracurricular activities, here or elsewhere. (Well, in a sense Mechana is because he introduced me to anime and to this site, but you know what I mean-I hope.) You changed my life CAA. Thank you.

I totally agree.
I've been told I am already way more mature than my age but I think I have most certainly matured more by going here. When I have problems people on here help me and try to lift me up in prayer and I feel so much comfort and happiness towards those people because they actually do care about me.
And I've been helped by warnings in spiritual awareness (special thanks to GhostontheNet for that) and I have so many more friends on here than I ever thought I would. Thanks everyone! You kinder to me then I deserve, and I really appreciate how everyone sticks their backs out for me to help when I really didn't know what to do. You guys are life savers! ^_~* (and not the candy either)

I'd have joined a secular anime online group instead.

I guess I'd....really do my homework and make time for friends! JK. I don't come on as often as i used to, but this site still helps me to find what is good anime and make some friends with people I'd never meet!

Hmm...I'd be INCREDIBLY bored at work Monday through Saturday.

It's not about just that, though. God has used CAA as a tool in many ways to help me grow...the devotionals on here, encouragement from fellow Christians similar to me and by making some wonderfully amazing friends on here. :) I'm truly glad that it exists.

I used to belong to another community website, but I left it because, to put it simply, the cons were beginning to outweigh the pros. My mother suggested I find a "Christian website" to hang around, but at the time I was somewhat critical and sarcastic of them, because the ones I had seen were all way too strictly legalistic for me (putting down Final Fantasy for its use of magic etc.). I guess I figured I was too cool for Christian websites. One evening I was doing a Google search for "Christian anime reviews" just for kicks, expecting to read (and subsequently chuckle at) some idiot's extremely negative religious opinion of Dragon Ball Z or something. The link to CAA popped up and I was intrigued by the word "Alliance". I clicked, browsed the site, and was taken aback - I would have never expected something like this. The CAA has aided my spiritual maturity process in so many ways and I'm sure that thanks to this website and all the wonderful friends I've made and experiences I've had here I am now a far cry from the old me and I'm not about to stop now.

I dont remember how i stumbled upon it. I just found it on google or something and would read you guys's posts a lot until I finally broke down and joined the fun. Then got Sakura's Wings to join with me. It's good to be somewhere you feel welcome and around like-minded people. And *clears throat* I'd also like to add that the mods here ROCK MY SOCKS OFF. I don't think I would be as strong spiritually either, probably off somewhere on the borderline of depression and boredom.

I have had issues with being social, and CAA has really helped me to come out of my shell. Also, I probably never would have gotten so into anime. I want to echo everyone's thanks to the mods and admins.

I'd probably be finding more time to read the materials that I don't want to read all that much.

Or playing more video games (by which, I mean, spending more money renting video games).

when you actually think about it, there are not a lot of forum sites like CAA where you can state your opinions (regardless of the topic, religion, etc.) and not get bashed for stating it. which generally defeats the purpose of a forum.

But also, CAA has help me get more serious about my faith and my relationship in Christ has grown. So I am very grateful
