Gay happy ending

Ok I met this boy at church and we where having discussions about suicide the guy said that he had these feelings every day and what he did was suck it up and get over it. He said that god had a purpose for making him and that he couldn't die. He then said but he won't have a happy ending. Then the Lady that was the leader of the discussion said she wouldn't say that. The guy who was speaking then said gay people don't go to heaven. He said that he had these feelings since he was born and that he admitted them to himself last year and when he told his parents they kicked him out of their house. He is the president of the gay association at his school and people reguarly tear off the posters off the wall. He said that everyday he prayed to god and asked god why he had these feelings because people told him that it was a "demon" :eyeroll: that was in him. So everybody who says gay people have to be changed need to stop talking and listen to someone who is gay.

I know plenty of people who used to be gay (well okay... 2) and they are gay no more... how does that happen?

And if God doesn't seem to be helping us in life... theres a reason why he doesnt. Because he wants US to come to HIM....

I know a guy who was having some girl problems, and he wanted them to go away. He'd constantly ask God to take it away. But apparently God never did.

You know why?

I think because God wants the boy to go to HIM....

Countless people ask God for things, and get bummed when God doesn't answer.... It's because we don't go to God...

I believe homosexuals can go to Heaven... if they are saved, they are saved. That as that. I do not want to debate this, as others may disagree.

But that doesnt mean you should go "well sinced I am saved, I will do whatever I want"...

My friend told me "Ryan, I feel comfortable and i enjoy what I am doing, do you think that I won't go to heaven if view porn and hentai extensively??"

Now he asked me that to corner me... if I say "No" He would say "you are wrong, because I am saved" If I say "yes" he would say "well then I can look at porn"

But instead I told him: "Rob, Only God knows, BUT I KNOW FOR SURE, that if we are Christian, we must STRIVE to be AS MUCH LIKE JESUS AS POSSIBLE, and we cannot simply use the excuse 'we are saved' to do whatever we want"

And he was... shocked by the answer I gave him, cause he never got an answer like that...

He was also very pro-homosexual. And he said why he promoted it was because "he didn't want to see people be offended, and didn't want people to suffer"

you don't want people to suffer? You don't promote homosexuality, you promote Jesus. THAT is how you have them to suffer less

Now I'm telling you, if he say "Oh God has not helped me" and stuff. You go tell him, to seek God... not for God to seek him. Because we shouldnt ONLY seek salvation, but seek to Grow in our faith. And be as much like Christ as we can

Those people who are gay are messed up. Hate to brake it to you. What they need is prayer. And they need to change.

im sorry shao, but thats not the best way to asses the situation. True that it is wrong to be homosexual, but saying they are "messed up" is just mean... you have to treat them with love and compassion

Yeah, I guess so. Sorry. I got a little hyped up there. I don't know what else to say but "pray for him." He really needs it.

This troll has brought up an interesting discussion from his madness. Don't say "I guess so," Shao. They human people, God's creations, and deserve respect like any other person. You can hate concepts, you can hate actions, but everyone has the same human dignity. I don't mean to lash out at you, I'm just trying to make a general statement.

I have to say that Shao is right. Homosexuals sin against God. There is nothing else for me to explain what the reason is that I say this but it's just wrong.

I give prayers to the ones who are homosexuals that they would leave that direction. God made Man for Woman, and Woman for Man. As these verses say directly from the Bible:

Genesis 19:1 The two angels arrived at Sodom in the evening, and Lot was
sitting in the gateway of the city. When he saw them, he got up to meet
them and bowed down with his face to the ground.

2 "My lords," he said, "please turn aside to your servant's house. You can
wash your feet and spend the night and then go on your way early in the
morning." "No," they answered, "we will spend the night in the square."

3 But he insisted so strongly that they did go with him and entered his
house. He prepared a meal for them, baking bread without yeast, and they
ate.

4 Before they had gone to bed, all the men from every part of the city of
Sodom--both young and old--surrounded the house.

5 They called to Lot, "Where are the men who came to you tonight? Bring
them out to us so that we can have sex with them."

6 Lot went outside to meet them and shut the door behind him

7 and said, "No, my friends. Don't do this wicked thing.

8 Look, I have two daughters who have never slept with a man. Let me bring
them out to you, and you can do what you like with them. But don't do
anything to these men, for they have come under the protection of my roof."

9 "Get out of our way," they replied. And they said, "This fellow came
here as an alien, and now he wants to play the judge! We'll treat you worse
than them." They kept bringing pressure on Lot and moved forward to break
down the door.

10 But the men inside reached out and pulled Lot back into the house and
shut the door.

11 Then they struck the men who were at the door of the house, young and
old, with blindness so that they could not find the door.

12 The two men said to Lot, "Do you have anyone else here--sons-in-law,
sons or daughters, or anyone else in the city who belongs to you? Get them
out of here,

13 because we are going to destroy this place. The outcry to the LORD
against its people is so great that he has sent us to destroy it."

Leviticus 18:22 "'Do not lie with a man as one lies with a woman; that is
detestable.

29 "'Everyone who does any of these detestable things--such persons must
be cut off from their people.

20:13 "'If a man lies with a man as one lies with a woman, both of them
have done what is detestable. They must be put to death; their blood will
be on their own heads.

Romans 1:26 Because of this, God gave them over to shameful lusts. Even their
women exchanged natural relations for unnatural ones.

27 In the same way the men also abandoned natural relations with women and
were inflamed with lust for one another. Men committed indecent acts with
other men, and received in themselves the due penalty for their perversion.

32 Although they know God's righteous decree that those who do such things
deserve death, they not only continue to do these very things but also
approve of those who practice them.

This is a truthful and clear verse. As clear as it can possibly get:

1Corinthians 6:9 Do you not know that the wicked will not inherit the kingdom of
God? Do not be deceived: Neither the sexually immoral nor idolaters nor
adulterers nor male prostitutes nor homosexual offenders

10 nor thieves nor the greedy nor drunkards nor slanderers nor swindlers
will inherit the kingdom of God.

11 And that is what some of you were. But you were washed, you were
sanctified, you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and by
the Spirit of our God.

Whoever is offended by what I said, I'm sorry, but it's right there. Spoken by our Lord Jesus Christ.

It has been debated whether homosexuality is a choice or an inclination, and I don't want to start a debate on that, but it seems to me that if it is an unwanted inclination and the individual lives a chaste lifestyle, seeking to do God's will by avoiding immoral behavior, God will help that individual. It may be a lonely life, but the ultimate goal is Heaven.

The rest of the Christian fellowhip would need to support these people, so they can live a Christian life, and not fall into the sin they are tempted by.

I hadn't considered the law books... Can't argue scripture that clear, CephasVII.

I don't think scripture is the issue here. Cause christian homosexuals obviously know that it is a sin. Even people who aren't christian know it is a sin for Christianity. But many Christian homosexuals continue to battle their homosexuality.

Nethertheless, prayer is definately needed

I was going to say something along those lines as well. If a Christian is struggling with homosexual inclings then they can live a chaste lifestyle by not acting on those feelings. Same as a heterosexual person dealing with severe lust. Asking God's guidance and assistance for help can lead them on the right path.

I believe you mean non-Christian monotheistic religious people such as Jews, Muslims, etc. right MSP?

No, what I meant was that everyone who is NOT christian, knows that it is a christian sin to be homosexual

You know maybe it would help if he wasn't the president of the gay association at his school.

First off, let me say that I am very anti-gay. I get called "homophobe" by unbelievers, which is fine by me, because I don't take much offense to it. Yes, there is something very wrong with homosexualism, it is perverse and perverts God's gift of love to us. As for this kid, if he is truly a Christain, he will fight, and ultimately succeed against his homosexual desires. I understand that there are Christains who struggle with homosexual desires, and beeing a former porn addict I understand how it can be tough to fight sinful desires. If you come across a former brother or sister in Christ who is struggling with this, by all means help them. As for the question of will he get to heaven or not. God can tell whether or not he is fighting against his homosexual desires. If he is lying to himself saying that it's okay to be gay, then I'd say he's not even a Christain to begin with. I mean, you did say he was the president of his school's gay committy(correct me if I'm wrong). okay, enough rambling, what I'm saying is that if he is really a Christain, he will accept that homosexuality is WRONG and he will strive to beat his feelings. but if he thinks homosexuality is okay, you should witness to him, we all have our struggles with sin and he's, by no means, a "demon". Just my two cents.

if my school had posters for a gay commity, I'd probably tear them down too
Look first that is just not nice. Now I'm not gay myself but he thinks he's going to hell and I feel sorry for him. He prayed to god for the feelings to go away from him but they won't. I think this means being gay is not a choice. Especially since he's felt that way since he was born. But you all have well thought out opinions and I respect them too.

At the risk of this spiraling out of control, I will not state a side...however, it has been proven that alcoholism (a SIN) is genetic. Who's not to say homosexuality is? I'm not taking a side on the issue, merely saying it is possible.

That in no way excuses the behavior, however, it is still a sin, genetic or not.

if my school had posters for a gay commity, I'd probably tear them down too

Whether you like it or not, this country has free speech for a reason.

Ditto.

I really don't know... but... We are born into sin. It's natural for us to sin and it's very hard to let go of sinful things. Being gay is ,in the end, a sin and just another reason why Christians die that first death. Just like, "I didn't have a choice... I'm a thief/murderer/ whatever. I can't help it." He seems to know it's wrong, yet he's the president of some gay group. Only God can change this man. Don't give up hope.

Well, when "free speech" goes against God's law by promoting homosexuallity... while Christians are being shut up.

I meant that I didn't agree with the logic that "praying to God to remove something and God not removing it" doesn't make it not a choice

I don't know if Homosexuality is a choice or not, there is evidence for both

BUT LET US NOT DISCUSS THIS OKAY?????

my school is the complete opposite. if you told anyone that you were anti-gay, they would attack and barage you with insults and everything. teachers almost openly make fun of homophobes and such, which is really hard for someone like me, someone who is anti-gay. but i agree with MSP completely.

...But then that would mean that is cursed by God. It would mean that all homosexuals are cursed by God, because they were born with it and there's no way out.

But there is a way out. I agree with Mr. Smartypant's opinion.

We are all born with the desire to sin, I think. We do things wrong all the time, we're attracted to things that are wrong whether we all admit it or not. The thing with homosexuality is that it affects a big part of life so it is very hard to fight. But it's possible. Almost every day you will want to give up, because it's long and tiring and painful, but it's possible, because God is there.

I also want to say that I was surprised by some reactions in this thread. I think we should all be respectful towards homosexuals, perverts, and anyone who believes or does things you disagree with. Just because you think it's wrong doesn't mean they do. Many people don't believe in God. And also, they might be in a middle of a struggle, just like the subject we are talking about.

Yet, the government is not allowed to establish any religion over another by the First Amendment. This country is free to all, regardless of beliefs.

How would you like it if posters for a prayer group were torn down? You'd be mad, wouldn't you?

Same principle. Treat others with respect.
