Less Activity on CAA?

Is it my imagination or is there less activity on CAA (post-wise, etc.)?
I suppose it's because a lot of people are going back to school.

I really don't know. It still seems active to me, although looking at my post count, you wouldn't know that I notice such things xD

It ebbs and surges; school has a factor, for sure, but also things seem to die down on the weekends for the most part.

Yeah, it's always slow on the weekends.

Weird. I would have thought there would be more activity on the weekends from a student point of view... though I guess a lot of students might work then.
It came as a real shock to me when I was first told how the different school years work for you who end for Summer. We end in December over here for Christmas and have our holidays then in NZ.
I don't really notice activity levels because of the different times of day I usually log in on and the time zone difference. I can be on at times when there aren't many other people online.

I am on a break now (not "holiday", just a break from lectures), so I am pleased that I can now recover from sleep deprivation.
But, yeah what CA said. Except that I have noticed there was a bit less activity. However, there is slightly more thanks to this thread.

I love it when people agree with me!
Cool av, W4J. Strong Sad on Coffee = awesomeness.
Hmm... I wonder if now its been mentioned and that they're looking out for trends whether we'll notice any obvious drops in activity rates during our usual logon periods... just a thought.

You know... I am getting mightily confused with the Warrior4Jesus and Warrior4Christ... I think we should brand one and put a collar round the other.
Anyway, I said 'less activity'. Not sure why though, it just feels that way

School will eat your sooooooul.
No actually I'm quite enjoying it. But yeah, school, kendo, newspaper, family, dates, and returning friends have lessened my activity a bit. But I'm definitely still visiting and enjoying CAA.
Like Ash said, activity ebbs and flows on all boards, but CAA has some of the best activity I've ever seen.

I put "don't know", because whilst I haven't posted as much, there's no way I'd know if it's the same for others.
I have been burning the midnight oil ... thank God it's over as of tonight.

I've been off and on for the past two months, not making too many posts. I was on too much yesterday though:wow!:

I'm with Ask and ShiHi on this one. This just seems like the natural cycle of posting. Nothing to be concerned abou!

Gracious, you sound like you run on my high school schedule, Yukinon! I was in newspaper, too (and latin and a part time job and several AP courses and....
)
Personally, I think it's kind of good posting slows down for school--CAA should never take priority over someone's school work, so I'm ok with that. I've never seen it drone to a complete stop for more than a few hours, though, so yeah, nothing to worry about. And CA, we're on a completely different hemisphere from you! So your winters are our summers, and vice versa.

I've not noticed it, but I haven't been on as much lately, either. I DO know that it's painfully slow during the daytime hours, but it's almost always like that.

Yeah, activity tends to go and up and down in cycles for different reasons: summer, school, holidays etc.. Nothing unusal

Well, this forum is a lot more active than another one I joined. It's amost dead! I like this one!
Edit: ::Whispers:: Though I probably shouldn't say that too loud...I'm one of the admins of that particular forum...heh, heh... Okay, shutting up now.

My observation: the quantitative activity on CAA has remained almost exactly the same (some slight changes, but overall unimportant). However, the qualititative activity has changed. There are many more posts in forums that impact fewer people. For example, the gallery generates many threads, but most of those contain only an image and comments.

hehe I probably don't help, with all the goofy threads I do. But yeah, I agree. That's the one big change I've noted from a year ago. Maybe it's just people trying to keep things light, you know, with all of the recent events, like Katrina. It seems there's a lot of sadness in the real world.

Not high school, but college. It's all stuff I enjoy though. I just have to find time to do laundry! (That's why my avatar looks so rushed, too!)
I'm also of the opinon that CAA, as awesome as it is, should never take priority over someone's outside life. I've seen and experienced message board addiction/dependence before, and it's seldom a positive thing. I know that personally I've been spending more time with my grandparents and with friends who have returned after the summer.
I doubt I'll ever completely leave though. This is the best board I've ever found, and I've been to a lot.
