I love Sorry. That's a favorite with out a doubt.
Clue is a good way to burn some time with friends and it exercises your reasoning skills, so it's all good.
I play a lot of Risk, too, but I prefer Axis and Allies.

Monopoly, Risk (original - best, Star Wars and LotR version very good also). I really enjoy/ed Cluedo also. Mousetrap was my favourite as a child though.

I enjoyed Hungry hungry hippos, Clue, Payday, Life, Chutts and Ladders, Candy land, Catipillar, Guess Who, Barrel of Monkeys was fun, uh...I can't think of many I played but I know there were tons of games I used to love to play. When I was a baby my favorite game was emptying my mom's purse and wearing her huge sunglasses. (I'm serious) I can't think of many I played though for some reason. Most of the ones I listed I played at my friend's house, except now she lives in Georgia and she is not that much of a friend anymore. ^^;;;

CANDY LANNNNNNNNNDDD!!!!
Ha. I have such fond memories of that game. Me and Yumie would play it all the time, and, a lot of the times, I would stack the cards so that I'd go to the very end of the board (The Sugar Plum Fairy, I think) and beat her. Yes, I know. I was an unscrupulous child. . .

Sounds like you had a lot of fun! ^_~*
The reason I have such good memories with the game is because my friend (not sure if I should call her an x friend or not) used to play it with me until she moved to Georgia and now I haven't heard from her since. It was a fun boardgame though. Very interesting to play in your spare time or to pass the time.

I've never played Monopoly before and I don't really plan too. My dad did before and he said that it felt like it took up fifteen years of his life span. And I think my family and I would get sick of playing it after the first hour.

Monopoly and Chinese chess (not checkers). I know Chinese chess may not qualify as a "child's game", but that's the thing I've played most often as a kid.

Oooo! The only board game I remember playing as a kid was Candyland but I loved it to death. Mainly because of all the little drawings. Did you know they've updated the characters? I feel hurt by that for some reason.
Other than that I grew up with a bunch of boys so we played street fighter and little role plays of Batman and X-men.
Also, my dad taught me to play chess at age 9. I think I was the only third grader who knew what "diagonal" means.

I loved playing Battleship when I was little. Too bad most of the pieces are missing now, though...

I really enjoyed Uno and connect four. In terms of board games I would say Life and chess. Chinese checkers was fun too.
Activity wise, I loved kick ball, dodgeball and stones. Stones was a game I remember from elementary school. There are two teams on a field that is split into 2 sides. Anyways on each side there were about a few hoola-hoops throughout the fied called safety zones. Which you're safe from being tagged. The premise of the game was to run across the opponets side and retrieve these plastic stones w/o being tagged. If you were tagged, you were out or couldn't do anything for a length of time (can remember). Anways, at the end of each side there is a hola-hoop with 10 stone like things with 1 or 2 goalies guarding the stones. The first team with all the stones on their side wins. Oh and if you stole a stone you could take safety in a hola-hoop.
I suck at describing things, but it was a fun game.
