today I just swore into the Air Force. I've been working towards this and I'm proud of the descision I have made. My top 4 job choices deal with electronics. Not fixing them or anything...but computer stuff dealing with intelligence...feedign false info to enemies....recovering lost information...networking computers and secure lines for the president and his contacts...those are a few of the descriptions...The earliest i'll find out which job I get is the 23rd of this month. I will also find out when between January 31 2006 and september 13 2006 I will go to basic training. Thought I should give you guys a heads up. Any questions?

Erm, I'm not sure it was a good idea to post all of this in an open forum .... but congratulations on your decision!!! I wish you only the best of luck.
May you make your country and family proud.

ah..but you realize I didn't give the actual names of the courses. Also..they told me what things were classified and what weren't...so don't worry...but if my air force buddy on here thinks I should edit...I will.

Thanks guys.
oh yeah...
since i already have my AA degree...after basic training I'll automatically be an E3 *instead of starting off as an E1 like most*. So that means an automatic $300 pay raise for me. ^_^

Off you go into the wild blue yonder,
Climbing high into the sun;
Here they come zooming to meet our thunder,
At 'em boys, Give 'er the gun! (Give 'er the gun now!)
Down we dive, spouting our flame from under,
Off with one helluva roar!
We live in fame or go down in flame. Hey!
Nothing'll stop the U.S. Air Force!
May God bless you and keep you safe.

My twin cousins Joan and Jan were in the Air Force a long time ago.If you had
been in when they were you would have had to salute them because they were
nurses.

Blue Angels are the Navy, the Thunderbirds are the Air Force.
Good for you bakura fan I'm sure you'll do our nation proud. My Grandpa was in the Army Air Corps when it became the Air Force all the way through Korea.
There are lots of Army and Marines in my family, my Navy cousin is the black sheep. I've planned on joining the Army for years. I was so psyched on joining the Army Reserve while doing ROTC next year but then I realized how much of a strain that would put on me. Coming back from drills on a Sunday night then having ROTC drills the next morning and class... So I can stand to wait four years for active duty, while doing ROTC and school. Then it's PSYOPS or Civil Affairs for me, nitty gritty stuff.

Bakura_Fan,
Thank you ever so much for deciding to serve your country like this. You don't know how much it means to us.
My grandpa was a Prisoner of War in World War 2 in the Pacific and he served his nation with honor. My family and I are proud to be called his descendants because of his service. We are grateful for his sacrifice to keep us free.
And now you as well join the same ranks as those who've fought and died for freedom; the servant-hearted. You are loved and we are grateful for your service. Our prayers are with you and may God shine His love through you to your fellow servicemen; and in times of war, to our enemies as well.
Be honored of who you have joined and were you are now. You are a member of the United States Armed Forces; a member of those forces across the world that have stood for freedom. I salute you bakura_fan.
:: salutes:: Make your anscestors proud. But don't worry about making God proud...if you're His daughter, He's proud of you already, and loves you forevermore...

thank you all for your support. oh yeah. ^^, my dad and his uncle are Retired Marines...and my grandpa served in the Navy for a bit. I've sorta grown up around military stuff I guess you could say. I know that my dad served in Desert Storm and Vietnam. He worked in the office portion of it. One of the jobs I know he had was also in intelligence..,but he also had a not so fun job...sending letters home to the families of the desceased. ;-; After that he went into the reserves and joined the Los Angeles County Sheriff's department. Then he retired from that and we all moved away from CA to WA. ^_^
