Important: Deliverance Ministry!!!!

WEll,
I am a pastors kid.
Since i was 3 yrs old i have had vivid demonic dreams, to the point of night terrors, i could feel something being sucked out of me when i awoke. When i got to sophomore year in HS, i commanded the demons in my dreams. I find myself waking up speaking in tongues and saying Jesus and Lord out loud. My two friends both didnt start having demonic dreams until i started living with them. My husband didnt start having demonic dreams until these last four months since we got married.
I have seen a demon on my bed. I said to it " If you want to just sit there and get bored .. do so, because i am going back to sleep, you are the one going to suffer". I have felt them and sensed them all my life.
I know for a fact i am supposed to be in the deliverance ministry....all i know to do is pray, seek God, fast, and read my bible.
The question i have for you guys as my christian brothers and sisters.... WHERE DO I GO FROM HERE?AND WHAT DO I DO NOW?

Have you read the book, Deliver Us From Evil by Don Basham? I just finished reading it a few weeks ago, and it is a very good look into the deliverance ministry. It comes from the perspective of the author as he goes from not believing that demons exist at all to being a prominent deliverance speaker. It's a real eye-opener.
Anyway, as far as where you go from here... I would say try to get into contact with those who are in this field. Learn from them, both their successes and mistakes. Also, make sure that you are girded with all aspects of the Armour of God. Demons are not push-overs. They will fight back. That is why we have the shield, to protect us from the 'fiery darts of the wicked'.
I'll be praying for you sister!
Edit: btw, with the demon on your bed. Instead of allowing it to sit there and 'be bored', maybe you could command it in the name of Jesus to get out. That reminded me of a story I heard.
A pastor was at a outreach for several days, but was having no breakthroughs. Every night, he would see three demons enter his room but since he had had such a long day he would just go to sleep. Finally, he was getting so upset that there was no breakthrough in the outreach that he cried out to God. He heard God tell him to close the door, and cover the walls, floor, door and roof in the blood of Jesus (the demons are inside the room).
Confused, he did was he felt led to do. Then God told him to put a worship CD on. As soon as the music started, the demons started to writhe and tried to escape the room, but couldn't do so due to Jesus' blood. Meanwhile, the pastor was being touched mightily by God and he laughed and laughed and wasn't tired anymore. After the CD finished, he opened the door and said "you are free to go" (
This guy has an accent, and when he said that line it made me crack-up )
Anyway, the next day there was an awesome move of God in the outreach.
My point is that by allowing that demon to remain in your room, you could be preventing a move or renewal of Jesus in you. Also, it could be affecting your husband, as you said he is having nightmares as well.

Wow! I don't know anything that can help, sorry. But a few nights ago I had this dream or maybe I was awake, I can't remember. I was 'asleep' in bed and could feel this presence in my room. I went to cry out to God but this shadowy figure sat on my bed covers and lunged for my throat to stop me from saying the words. But commanding them to go in Jesus name is still possible using your mind. So what it did didn't stop me. I don't think I have the gift of discernment and I'm not sure if it was a dream or wasn't. Pretty scary!
I've had many other 'dreams' without the shadowy figures but I feel the demonic presence and cry out to God for help but the demon forces my mouth shut and I can't remember what else happened. I would say those onces are dreams, but I'm not so sure about the other ones. Got to remember God is bigger than anything Satan can throw at us. Finding comfort in Jesus is very important.
Maybe talk to your dad or a strong Christian friend who knows a lot about the deliverance ministry, that could help. Also praying to God for direction couldn't hurt. And maybe just step out in faith. Last week I got next to no sleep because I was sick with worry and letting God have all my pain etc, but subconciously I wasn't, so basically I was wrestling emotionally with God. It was a very upsetting and draining experience but I really believe He grew me through that. Through our struggles He brings peace. (I'll be praying for you and your husband also) God Bless!

Beings of Darkness, by the power of the Holy Spirit that is invested in me we command you to leave. There is no place for you here and you have no power over us. In the name of Jesus Christ we bind you up and command you to return to the depths of Hell from whence you came and bother this child of God no more.
Amen.

I may be touting my ignorance here, but I have never heard of anything called a deliverance ministry... can you clarify what you mean by that?

I think it's a bit controversial as it has to do with demons and demon possession, etc.
The question I would have would be are these real events or did they result from
a too active childhood imagination?
Not that I doubt that they were real for you,but we do have to be rather careful
when it comes to this subject.

Are you suggesting there is no such thing as demons and demon possession? That's crazy. Some could be explained by an overactive imagination, but some of it could be the real deal.

I think it's quite possible that he's just challenging her to test this spirit. We are strictly admonished to do so in scripture. . . *shrug*

I don't know for sure if I have ever really experienced the prescence of a demon in a tangible way. . . I have been in a few unusual situations that make me wonder, but beyond that I am not sure. But that dream thing that you were talking about did ring a bell. See, I work at this Christian camp every summer, and one week out of a summer a LONG time ago when I was still just a camper there, something scary happened. First, a cabin of girls came back from chapel one night to find their door knocked in and broken. Everyone who went inside said it smelled distinctly of something rotting. Then, that night, the councelor in the cabin had a nightmare that someone was going to kill her. The unusual thing about it was that one of the guy councelors had the exact same nightmare about her. It rattled him so much that he broke the rules and left his cabin, running down to the girls cabins to check on her. It scared the pee out of her that they had both had the same frightening nightmare about her. Anyways, all that week councelors and a few campers claimed to see things-- mostly angels. At first I figured this was all stuff that some goofy girl campers made up since I wasn't there that week, but then I went to a councelor who is an awesome Christian that I really respect a few years later and asked her about it, and all she said was, "Don't worry, nothing like that has happened since." It really happened. So all that just to confirm that things like that really do happen to people, and it all sounds very possible to me. I really would suggest going to war about it in prayer, and have a lot of people you respect pray with you also. There must be things going on over you that you don't know about. But with God's help, you can whip it!

Deliverance Ministry: is a ministry that delivers people of [for the most part] demonic influences in ones life. IE inward demon possession... kinda like an exorsist would do. External demon Opression... those being controlled and pushed to do wrong and make bad choices. Those with , what God calls "generational curses". Like the boy in the bible who was mute... the disciples tried to pray the demon out of him... but Jesus did it [prayer and fasting ...]. So it is kinda the spiritual healing aspect to Christianity. Note: some physical problems are a result of spiritual influence.
yes this is definately a contraversal topic .... most christians that i know want the great things like physical healings advertised, when someone is healed of cancer... everyone knows. But when someone is healed of a spiritual illness, ie demon posession or demonic influence.... noone hears about it. How many demonic healing have you heard talked about it church.... yet God specifically instructs us to heal physical and spiritual. SO either, 1. they are being hid from us or 2. The church is not doing his job. Because look around, plenty of people in the us are demon possessed, or oppressed. "Satan's greatest skem is to make him look like he is not there". The US as a whole doesnt see demon possession, Satan works through the internet, TV, media as a whole... and so on. He doesnt have to work through demon possessed people because Satan knows.... the person will be put on drugs and put into an institution. And what use will that have to him. He will work little by little. Ie porn.
Look at other countries... they have family stories and cultural stories of demons, demon possession, forests with demons, witch doctor. Look how the US praises witches and visits palm readers without a second though. So us as christians have to become far more sensitive to Gods prompting. So that you and i can fight the unseen, which is far more difficult than fighting the seen. we are required to be the fighters and warriors.
As for as an imagination, one could say that God is imaginary. But us as christians just "Know" within our heart and spirit His truth. Some could even ask, is love real... we cant see it. You just have to know the difference between the fake "us you" love and the real thing. My dreams were God's way of getting me to understand how "they" work, and to get me to recognize them.God even says in the Bible that he uses dreams to warn, tell and give information. IE king david, Joseph, Mary .... and so on. Fortunately, i can recognize [for the most part] the difference between my dreams and my DREAMS. One day my dreams and the steps God is taking me through will be a wonderful asset. I wont just one day be walking and see a demon right infront of me, and be afraid. Also, my dreams indicate how my walk with God is going... that is just me, i am not saying others do or dont have this. So all in all I feel fully blessed.
I know it is not a considence[sp] that all my close friends had demonic dreams within three months of me living with them. When God has a calling on your life.. i guess you got to go with it. Besides the deliverance ministry... i dont know exactly what i want to do in life.. i am just going to school and become a teacher.

Hi Natsumi Lam! I don't think we've talked before, but it's nice to meet you! I just wanted to say that I think if you're sure that this is what God wants you to do, I'm so happy for you! It's a great calling. Hard, from what I've heard, so I'll pray for God to bless you in this.
So, I did have a question for you. If you're in the deliverance ministry, can you have another career as well? Like if one becomes an exorcist, is it a full time job? I know it sounds stupid, but I couldn't think of a better way to say it. Sorry.
also, I think there's a book called "The Screwtape Letters". It's fictional, but it's supposed to provide an interesting insight into how demons try to opress people.

Sound like you have the gift of dicerning spirits. My mom also has that. She has seen many demons and has heard there voices. Exercism is a VERY important ministry. my mom has a book, I'll get the title of it for you when I get a chance, written by an Exercist. You might like to read that. =) I will pray for you.

Yup, the Bible says so as much, when it states that taking Communion in an unworthy manner will bring harm to you.
most christians that i know want the great things like physical healings advertised, when someone is healed of cancer... everyone knows.
Eh...I'm not too fond of running out and proclaiming that stuff either. It's great when God chooses to perform a miracle and heal someone of a physical illness, but I think if we go around advertising that too much, it will create a false impression that if you're a Christian, you'll always magically be healed...which is false.
Look at other countries... they have family stories and cultural stories of demons, demon possession, forests with demons, witch doctor.
They also believe in dudes who sit on clouds and throw lightning bolts down, and that they get reincarnated into bugs, and that eating wolf's brains will cure the flu. So I wouldn't take what other countries have to say about spirituality too seriously.
God even says in the Bible that he uses dreams to warn, tell and give information. IE king david, Joseph, Mary .... and so on.
While I agree with you 100% on that one, since it has very strong Biblical support, I still stand by my belief that looking for a deeper meaning in dreams is foolish, since dreams can be influenced by thousands of things, including the bean burrito you had for dinner.
And, that's my opinion, for what it's worth.

I challenge you. Go to a group of active missionaries... 98% will tell you of demonic stories about people placing curses on them and wierd things "magically" being grown in their rooms. Or demon people they experienced outside of the church.. and so on. Missionaries have to deal with an active demonic threshold in other countries, a threshold that shows itself in public and in physical representations. The people of that country might believe in weird things, but it doesnt make the demonic less active.. in more cases than none demonic action is more prevelant in the supersitious. [Note: americanized countries tend to have demonic action like america in that it is hidden most of the time.]

When you have the gift of decernment and not basic "oh this dream means this< it must be true or important".... you can determine between the DREAMS and the average dream[note people do still make mistakes,., even if tehy have decernment]. That is why decernment is extremely important... to know where to move and where not to move. Or this dream is Gods way to show what i should or should not do.... > decernment.

I am going to be an elementary teacher as a paying career. I am going to be an exorcist for a church career. And as a summer career for pay i am going to be doing web design and animation. I know my gift is also teaching. I found this out in fourth grade. Web design and animation i am doing because i really enjoy it. Exorcist.... only because i know i am called to this. In no way i think it is fun.... man very much the opposite... i think it very ummm scary, the thought even scares me sometimes. But i know God will be with me when He tells me ," Go set that captive free!!"

I tend to think that the main reason that demonic activity in foriegn countries is so much more obvious is because the citizens of some countries (such as the Dominican Republic, where I went on a missions trip this past summer) quite literally invite it. Voodoo (is that how you spell that? It looks weird in writing) is very predominant in the DR and in many areas of Africa and other places. When you seek out a demon, I think you will probably find one. Just my opinion.
