Do you feel and act your age?

When you look in the mirror... do you look your age?

--> Me i still act, dress and look like i am 17-18.

In high school people thought i was in middle school...[fresh and soph year].

In college... they think i am in HS... still now. People ask... how old are you?
I say ... 22. They say "Na, are you sure"... i Say "no".

I got carded at Passion of Christ....man.

Well Natsumi Lam, when you are getting up in years at least you'll keep your youthful appearance up for longer than most people!

I sort of view myself as younger than 23. I was recently at a youth conference and I found that I often thought the people there were around my age (within a couple years) while a lot of them were actually 16 or 17. In fact I was one of the older people there. I'm not married and I don't live on my own so I relate better to those a bit younger than I am.

[color=Sienna] ! I've seen your picture before. You DO look young! I NEVER would have guessed you were 23. I was thinking somewhere along the lines of 19 or 20. :) That's a good thing, though.

I'm 24 and I in no way feel my age. I wouldn't say I act immature, but most of my friends describe me as youthful. I have a 9-6 job, so when I'm there I stay in the "act my age" mentality, but when I get off and go home and go out with friends, they're all at least 2 years younger, some of them 6 years younger.

I mean...think about it. How many 24 and 1/2 year olds (outside of here) do you know that still watch cartoons religiously, would love to spend the day off in pajamas playing video games and still do silly things? Most of the 24 year old women around here are boring and all "grown up". Blah. I've got the rest of my life to act my age....if I ever get there ]

Most definitely. And the fact that I was 12 and had a HUGE Elijah Wood crush at the time has nothing to do with it.

All my life my height and looks have tricked people into thinking that I'm older than I really am. However, I think that I act like I'm a younger person in an older person's body. *shrug* I'm not sure which I am. I think I feel pretty much in the middle on that one.

Well, dragonshimmer, I am not quite twice your age, but almost!, and I still love to spend my days off in my pjs playing video games and watching cartoons! :thumb: If I were embarassed to admit it, I guess I could always just say I was only doing it to spend time with my boys... but I'm not embarassed, and my old woman friends just think I'm weird! (and I think they're kinda boring! heehee!) But we love each other anyway.

So, no, I don't look my 40+ age and I'll continue to not act my age as long as the Lord gives me a youthful outlook on life and the desire to beat my kids at the Playstation. ;)

Well...,most people peg me for 18 or 19 years old, which is how old the majority of my friends are....I've had to whip out my ID many times just to "prove" that I really am 24. I usually say..C'mon people! do you think I would claim to be 24 if I wasn't?????
But, oh well....
I guess it's a blessing to look younger...
the funny thing is that my sister, kazekami, is three years older than me...and people think SHE looks even younger than I do...but, then again...she IS only 4'10!

Wel..I'm 13,but people always think I'm 15 or 16..It confuses new kids at school because they think I'm in 10th grade instead of 8th..

I'd like to be the first to say that you're now my hero :D

Seriously, though, I have a female friend who's 30 now, and she doesn't look, act or seem anything a day over about 23 or so. She's my hero too :)

Nope.

And I know what you mean about being asked what grade you're in. Although it hasn't happened as much lately. ^^

I feel a lot older than my thirteen years, honestly. People who guess my age (online) average out around 16-18.

Well after the first 200 years it doesn't matter!
Seriously no,I don't look like I'm in my 40s and neither of my sisters
look their age either.I guess it's just good genes somewhere got passed
on.
In fact I overheard a conversation my dad was having after church yesterday and someone thought he was in his 60s when he's really in
his 80s.
On another time someone at church thought I was 26 when it's really
46.

 hehe! Thanks! You made my day! :) Lots of my boys friends think I'm a fun mom, but I want to be careful to make sure I'm not an embarassment to my boys as they get older. Maybe I should start a thread asking if the younger members of this board would be embarassed if their mom liked anime even more than they did and enjoyed beating them at Playstation. (Though I must admit, I am winning FAR less often nowadays... those boys are getting way better at beating their ol' mom! ;))

Well, I look a lot younger than I am, which I guess will be a good thing when I'm a bit older, but it's pretty strange when people keep thinking you're lying about your age, and are convinced that you are 14.

As for how old I feel, it depends. Sometimes I feel like I'm about 12, and I just have no idea what to do, like I just haven't grown up at all. And other times I feel aboout 70 (really). A lot of my interests, music and book choices, all that kind of thing make me feel like I was born in the wrong era.

I look younger than 22 which isn't so great. But then I view myself as probably about 19-20 so I don't know what's up.

No way do I feel my age! The only time I've felt my age was when I was ten and younger.
Right now, I feel fifteen--and I'm a freshman in college. ah well.

Sigh...

My interests and the way I feel (and relate, at least online), are in my opinion probably 6 years younger than I am. However, people who meet me usually think I am older than I am, sometimes by more than 4 years. Gah.

This last week I was asked twice (by the same person!) if I was in my final year at uni (I am in my second year). But they were probably just hanging around final years' too often.
I've also been asked if I was in year 12. So some people overestimate, and others underestimate. So if you took the statistical average, it would probably about right.
I'm going to be 20 in under a month, which is a scary thought to leave behind the '1' as the first digit in my age...

I am 26 and yes, sometimes I feel old (well I am more than a quarter of a century old).

I am no longer as agile as before, and my reaction speeds are not what they used to be *sigh*. I can no longer jump 'high' and feel tired after running around for a bit. I need more exercise.

I buy comics and Lego to convince myself that I am still "young at heart". I also play Street Fighter at the arcades at times and beat the younger kids to tell myself that I still have the skillz.

I once wished I was 19 forever, but when I turned 20 I knew that it was nothing more than a wish. *sob*

Nah seriously ... I have accepted my age .. it is ok.

I feel younger than 26. To me there's nothing better than sitting on the couch all wrapped up in a blanket Saturday morning with a bowl of Lucky Charms in hand while watching Saturday morning cartoons. :thumb:
Most people think Im a lot younger than I am which is always a good thing. ^_^

I feel like I'm like an immature 20 year old. Or maybe a mature 18 year old. I usually get passed off as a 21 or 22 year old. It's pretty funny because I look like the oldest kid out my my family when in fact im the third. I look oldest and my oldest brother looks like he's the third.

I am very young but actually feel older than my age, because I'm often told I'm more mature than I appear. That makes me a little more dignified and flattered sometimes. ^_^

Only one person has told me that I look younger than I am. Personally I feel very old. (I even say things like "Remember back when..." and "Kids these days". Sigh.)

Teenage boys at the arcade always think I'm 18 or under. And when I'm like, "Dude, I'm 22", they get all weirded out. It's funny.

I kinda like looking younger than I am. How I feel varies though. Sometimes I feel old, sometimes I feel young.
