Do hospitals charge too Much X( ?

DO you believe hospitals charge toooooooo much?

Two stories why i strongly dislike hospitals!!!

1. I was in kindergarden and i broke my arm... i mean a bone popping compound fracture through my skin. I drove around for 3 HOURS with my parents with a broken arm as a 6 yr old and THEY WOULDNT TAKE ME because i didnt have the correct insurance. MMMMMANNNNNN

2. My husband sliced his pinky with a glass and had to get 5 stitches. He was charged $1,200 ... not including the doctors bill of $390. SO for 5 stitches and 20 min in the hospital = $1590.

SO what do you think?

I do think hospitals can be be costly. But when someones life can be saved, then you look on the good side on what hospitals can do.

I'm somewhat in a mix feelings about the hospital that I had to go to most of my life.

I think the age of 6 is too young to let someone drive.

Definately, overpricing does take place in many cases. However, the blame cannot to laid totally at the feet of the hospitals. There are a dozen and one factors that contribute to this and until those issues are resolved we'll have to continue to deal with the problem.

That I'm glad to be Canadian.
The scientific method," Thomas Henry Huxley once wrote, "is nothing but the normal working of the human mind." That is to say, when the mind is working; that is to say further, when it is engaged in corrrecting its mistakes. Taking this point of view, we may conclude that science is not physics, biology, or chemistry—is not even a "subject"—but a moral imperative drawn from a larger narrative whose purpose is to give perspective, balance, and humility to learning.

While I'm sorry for the cost you incurred, Natsumi, this thread has nowhere to go but into a discussion over socialized versus privatized medicine, and that falls into our "no politics" policy.
