CAA: Christian Anime Alliance

I hope to have one in the near future. I was just wondering if anyone here has one (or more) and what I can expect. I know that they're nocturnal, and they only live 2-3 years...but that's about it. So...any advice would be nice. ^_^ thanks a bunch. Oh, I'm thinking of for coloring either short hair or long hair creme tan colored. and I only want one.

Hamsters are cute but a little stinky....If you don't mind the smell go right ahead. they are fun to have on your shoulder.

spend time talking to it and holding it. that way it gets used to u being around it.

hamsters may bite if they r not used to u.

also, hamsters r a curious bunch. if u let them run around, be careful. they tend to hide under funiture as often as possible.

2-3 years, in my experience, is generous. Most hamsters I have known have met with untimely fates long before that.

That said... they can be fun... I prefer ferrets, but they are much higher maintenance...
