I want to be an Airborne, Air Assault, Ranger, and Special Forces qualified officer in the Army. Then do something in a Special Forces Detachment and travel the world probably as a Civil Affairs officer. I want to learn Arabic, Farsi, Korean, and Taiwanese, Japanese, and improve my Spanish.(You have to be proficient in at least one language anyway) I want to get down, dirty, and be right in the thick of things wherever it is. I want to be imbedded with indiginous forces for months at a time living with them as if I was one of them. But I don't just want to be at the forefront combatatively wise but I want to be there after the fact wherever it might be. I want to help the people rebuild their lives. Building bridges, roads, schools, hospitals, inoculate people, distribute food and medicine, get power and sewer lines running, training a new police and military force.
And I'm not just talking about Iraq either I mean anywhere and everywhere. Iraq is just a footnote in the history of the Special Forces. They've been everywhere from Croatia, Italy, Ethiopia, Ivory Coast, Columbia, Panama, Vietnam, Korea, Afghanistan, Indonesia, Philippines, Saudi Arabia, Lebanon, and just about everywhere else you can think of doing all the things I've mentioned.
And of course marry an awesome Christian girl. Have a couple of kids and get settled in. All that good stuff. And when I'm older either just move higher up the chain or hopefully get into the NSA or the CIA. Retire with a ginourmous pension and live in some nice house with my family on a a hill overlooking a beach.
How does anime fit? It really doesn't I'll just keep liking anime that's all even better if my future wife does too.
But I'm sure I can persuade her even if she's not a big anime. I mean who wouldn't like anime after seeing the good stuff.
