Bad Flirt! Need Help!
This is a funny story I just have to share,
Today I am in the park at a friend’s birthday party, when my friend points out 15 lonely girls over in another pavilion having trouble getting their cooking fire started. Well, me being the overly observant watchman that I am had to ask “Where?!?!â€

Aww HS you arent a bad flirt you just need to get your brain working thats all. Everyone gets freeze ups every once in a while. I suck at flirting. My mom says that I am very anti social. I just dont really talk with alot of people all the time. *hugs*

Sounds like the story of my life. I always have trouble talking to girls I don't know; heck even the ones I do know... It's probably a lack of self-confidence on my side.
O.O *blank stares all around*

Yeah just be cool and it ususally turns out fine. If I freeze i ususally act shy so people think I am always that way. Kinda wierd with me though.

I do great at talking, but if a girl was interested in me she'd probably have to wave a flare in front of my face or hit me with a sign before I would realize it wasn't more than "just being friendly."

Heh that happens alot. I would have never gotten to know my bf much if my friend didnt tell him I liked him. I still have the note he gave me on the day he said he liked me too. ^-^

When in doubt grin and nod or shake your head... depending on what the other person says. That's all I've got.

Why does it have to be flirting? Why not just talking? o_O
Or is that basically the same in your mind except one just involves the opposite gender? ^^;

That about sums it up... ^_^ The problem for me is just talking to a girl I possible might like to go out with. I can talk to girls I don’t want to go out with just fine (e.g. students & friends). It’s the attractive ones I freeze up on. ...doh!
Ah but a funny story nonetheless, one I am still chuckling over. My friend’s wife was teasing me afterwards telling me, "You can get their phone numbers only if they are good Christian girls" or "Its just a male ego boosting thing isn't it." I teased back saying "I just wanted to play with fire!"

lol...the moral of your story made me laugh. thanks.
But yeah, there's a scientific formula in this.. You see, girls give off a paralysis pheremone, the strength of which is in direct proportion to the number of girls. oddly enough though, guys tend to do this to me if i'm feeling particularly self-conscious. it must be caused by a mutually gender-shared gene. fascinating.

Yes I agree. It probably could be explained by Physics too. It’s all relative... I was relatively paralyzed! ]*Too many pretty girls... losing control of motor functions... coolness not functioning...*

But all silliness aside, I was glad to do this act of kindness regardless of there being "pretty girls." I would have helped anyone who needed it, and I don’t say that as a boast, but as an honest truth. I try very hard to be an example of Jesus & being an example of Jesus is showing kindness to all, not just pretty girls. Everyone needs to see Jesus, and they can see him through our actions as Christians. Actually these girls were all Au Pairs from German and Brazil and they had not been in America for a very long time. They left their families and friends for jobs and opportunities in the U.S. that they could not get in their home countries. I know how frightening it can be being in a foreign land away from family and friends. They told me how that no one in their countries would have ever taken time out of their lives to help those in need. In a way God used me, in spite of myself, to show some strangers a warm welcoming and a kindness that is so desperately needed upon this earth.
“Therefore, as God's chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience. Bear with each other and forgive whatever grievances you may have against one another. Forgive as the Lord forgave you. And over all these virtues put on love, which binds them all together in perfect unity.â€

haha funny story...I used to be a big(and bad) flirt too...but then i realized that it was just a waste of emotion and not to mention it was bad on my reputation. I mean, everyone thought i was really sleezy...and i was only like ten!!! So finally I just stopped having crushes over all and am now trying to save every once of passion and flirtation within me for my future huby^_^

. . . Um, are you seriously asking for flirting advice?
*scrambles on top of soap box*
You had the right approach. Trying to elicite romantic attraction in a person you don't know from Adam (or, I guess, Eve in this situation) is just asking for trouble. I could go on, but I don't want to get smacked, so, um. . .
*hauls off soap box and hides in the pending review section*

Mangafanatic, no need to worry about Holy Soldier. He is a strong Christian and has an odd sense of humour that is hard to pick up on sometimes. XD
