Happy Yellow Day and dA Birthday~ Anyone participating in Yellow Day? I am... kind of. I haven't been on Devart long and never really knew much about jark until recently. Still, its a sad situation huh?

(this will make absolutely no sense to those of you not on devart...)

I guess I could upload my Jolteon fanart thing. o_O

But I never really got into the whole community of dA. I'm not there enough to be that involved.


I was planning on burning a ton of stuff onto a CD so I could upload them from this computer. There's at least one yellow pic (Jolteon), but that's not really in honor of dA. ^^

yeah I heard about that, all yellow submissions, all day for august 7. I don't belong to it, just sort of lurk around there, so I'm not totally clear on why Jark is missing. But yeah, HAPPY YELLOW DAY to all ya'll!

feh... this yellow day idea isn't very entertaining... like I said in my jornal, the whole Jark thing is waaaaaaaaay overblown. True, Jark was wronged in some areas, but that shouldn't have to destroy the whole community. DA used to be primarily about art, not internet drama.

But what's an Internet community without drama? It's like high school, no matter what the average age in a particular online community is.

Smaller sites and CAA are kinda an exception to that. ^^

I don't believe it will wreck the community or anything... and I don't know if this is related to jark or not, but apparently there will be some changes around devart soon. (see spyed's journal, Scaling the Deviants) It seems like its some sort of popularity hierarchy system... which is something I DEFINITELY don't want. I get enough popularity contests in highschool as it is! I don't want to feel inferior on a site that was intended to be a place where people can just SHARE ART. I want to grow as an artist, not be limited. *sigh*

Whee! Happy Yellow Day!! I just can't help feeling sorry for Jark, I can't imagine losing control of something that you put the work into creating. Plus I really wish we knew why they had thrown him out. I agree, it's all pretty crazy.

Unfortunately, I'm in a wee bit of an artist's block of late, so I prolly won't be submitting anything yellow..

it's 100% related to Jark. unfortunately, the original topic on DA about it was deleted by one of the admins who wanted to protect himself from the public (who were already very angry at him), so I can't refer you to it. The facts are that Jark was demoted against his will and had his personal e-mail box deleted, also against his will. He's encouraging the whole of DA to badger the other admins for the reason why he was demoted, and this has gone unanswered. Pretty much immediately there was a flood of yellow artwork, one that puts this Yellow Day to shame... I haven't seen a quarter as much today as I saw in the first 24 hours after the demotion, so the plan pretty well failed. the Jark conspiracy has lost momentum now, which is unfortunate cause I wanted to see exactly what sparked this whole mess...
