Woo, college is fun. Much better than high school. Although I'd be lying to you if I said I didn't turn into a total spazzball when school rolls around, but God is working on that ^^;;

Even though this is my sophomore year in college, in many ways I'm a freshman again. I'm moving to a new school with a new direction in life--literally moving; it's 5 hours away, and I'll be living in a single, small dorm with 145 other women in the building contending for the showers. O_o
I spent my first year living with my parents and driving 20 minutes to school and back every day, and then on to work. So this is quite the big change.

The rest of the summer is to be spent making good memories and hording up supplies to take with me.

One word of warning... beware of the high school dramas that take place in college. Do not get caught up in them. I am entering my Senior year of college this year and I have been sucked into a few of them... but have avoided most...

High school dramas are for those who havn't grown up or matured since high school...

Anyway though, besides that, college is a blast. Pick and choose your friends wisely and stay close to God.
The Straight and Narrow

I chose to walk the straight and narrow road, but one day I lost balance and fell off it. I had fallen onto some sharp rocks and injured myself. There were people passing by who would merely stare at me, and then keep walking. Thoughts of worthlessness entered into my mind, and as I chose to believe the lies, my wounds grew worse. I was so overcome with grief that I nearly gave up... but then a man walked up to me and stopped. Without saying a word, he started to wrap my wounds, he gave me some water, and then lifted me up and embraced me. He then whispered these words into my ear, "I love you my child." As he said those words I could feel all the worthlessness and despair fall away. He then held out his hands. They had huge holes in them. He then said, "Walk with me." I then took his hand and we walked together. Every now and then I would fall from the road, but no matter where I fell, he was always there to pick me up and tell me that He loved me.

I love my college, a healthy Christian population with lots of people to witness to. ^^ I live in agirls dorm, so it's nice. I am currently debating going ot England as an exchange student, but I found out I would be living in public housing that is low income/exchange students with unisex floors and bathrooms. :eh: You want to talk about a new enviroment. Between that and some scheduling issues, I think I'll go to Spain instead.
Anyhow, I was such a nervous wreck that first two weeks of school I dropped five pounds. I don't recommend that.

Best of luck! What are you studying anyways? Hopefully, you'll find the experience as rewarding as I have.
The scientific method," Thomas Henry Huxley once wrote, "is nothing but the normal working of the human mind." That is to say, when the mind is working; that is to say further, when it is engaged in corrrecting its mistakes. Taking this point of view, we may conclude that science is not physics, biology, or chemistry—is not even a "subject"—but a moral imperative drawn from a larger narrative whose purpose is to give perspective, balance, and humility to learning.
