Question about the database

this may sound really.... odd... but for a heck of a long time, since CAA's url was just some weird ip... there were no database errors... and what is the technical reason for that? (lol really a question for the mods)

Technical reason is CAA has its own server. The database errors were caused by another site on the same server using up all of the database resources.
Since we don't have to share the server now, we've got the database to ourselves.

Because OldMithrandir took CAA off it's home server in Britain and moved it state side, where we could eat up all the bandwidth we needed. ^^

O_O You mean it had nothing to do with me switching to Netscape? *faints* (Actually, I'm back on IE again. ^_^ *ducks flying tomatoes* )
Seriously, I'm glad you guys got everything all sorted out.

Well, I use firefox, but there are some things where IE works better (updates, some configurations)

I was wondering how a simple question became thread with more than 10 posts... the answer: posts like this one.
In complete seriousness, the question has been answered, so there isn't a need to post too much (though I suppose being supportive is fine).
