I once heard a dog's friend say "Hello." I am not making this up.
Have you ever heard any animal (we'll exclude parrots) "talk?"

The Bible mentions a talking ***.

Now that's a trick I'd like to see you teach your dawg.

Rofl!
Very good point, frwl.
Well, when you listen to lambs calling in the fields they sound eerily like lost small children. :S Also, whenever our cat meows around the house she makes this strange 'Aro?' sound that is a lot like hello.
Does that count?

There was a dog on planets funniest animals once, (or was it amazing animal videos?) who could make sounds resembling human speech... It was, odd...

I think its just the dog is it doing because he knows what sounds will get him the treats.

^ Yup. Though hearing those types of noises coming from a dog was a strange experience none the less.

Yeah thats what I think.
If a dog can be taught to bark on command then why not other sounds?

XD our border collie says 'heh-woa' sounds like 'hello.' our cat used to roam the hall at night yowling, and it sounded like she was saying "mom" and our mother would wake up and come out and check on my sister and i because she thought we were calling for her. XD

I get advise for working as an Admin here from animals. My cats tell me who to ban, and what threads to delete. *notices everyone looking at him* What, it works better then writing your names on a dart board and tossing a dart with my eyes closed!

Apparently, too many horror movies have warped Shatterheart's mind. O_O
ON TOPIC: I swear when I was 4, my dog said a full sentence. I can't remember what he said, but I'm not joking. Whether it was my imagination or not, will never be known for sure. BUT it was around that same time I saw real angels too.... that I know for a fact. There could have easily been 50 to 100 all at once.... I think I even saw a demon around the same time as well. So my mind was apparently more tuned to the spiritual realm back at that time than it is now, and as such, there is no telling.

Whoa, wierd.
But please, I don't think that phrase is needed:
I swear to God when I was 4...
Sorry, it just offends me to here that.

My mother and sister taught our dog how to say "I love you." It sounds more like someone's stepping on her throat, though. . .

I've often heard cats say what sounds very much like "No." It's a sort of "Nyeoooo," and it's funny, because it's usually appropriate, like when you're picking them up, and they don't want you to, or anything to do with a bath.
:)

yeah, I saw that...I think. The dog could say "I love you!" and "hello" ... that's all I can remember right now.

Anyway, my dog sometimes says MaMa. I can get her to say it when she is getting really whiny. It's funny, it sounds just like she is saying "MAAMA!!"
