I am very sorry >_<
searously if any clicked that I will be very upset >_<
what happened was, someone sent it to me, I clicked it and it kept sending stuff to all my friends! so I dumped AIM and installed Triallian, Mr. SmartyPants says those AIM viruses don't work with Trillian, once again I'm sorry.

Actually, a while back there was an exploit in the Windows JPEG decoder, and a similar one in libPNG, that let you put programs in real images. Even if it's a valid pic, you might have to be suspicious. In fact, the framing images at CAA might be infected! Run for your lives!!

Well, not quite that bad, and those particular exploits were, I believe, patched, but watch out for suspicious stuff anyway. And keep yourself up to date. (Windows Update, keep your Opera/Firefox up to current, that sort of stuff.

called "the first jpeg virus"

all it did was mess things up, i don't think the jpeg actually worked... the virus messed itself up

You're thinking of the proof of concept virus - it didn't have a destructive payload because its purpose was just to show that the attack worked. And it was in a blank image, IIRC.
