How many people read the whole book of Songs of Soloman. Man I tryed to read it and boy is it mine bogoling @_@. I find it hard anought to fallow yet understand what they are saying to each other. I find it realy intereasting on how they compare them selfs to objects.

Actually, I haven't read SoS through, or if I have I wasn't really meditating on it. I'm glad you brought this up, now I feel inclined to read it! Thanx!

Not sure if this is the right spot to discuss it, but it is basically a book about the love of God for his people told as an allegory of the love of a man and woman, as told by the woman.

Keep this theology free or we get to see how fast the lock feature works. ^^

I personally think it's really beautiful.

I think it's really beautiful too, AS. When I first read it however, I was extremely embarrased But I've begun to appreciate it alot more, esp after reading a few Christian books.

This isn't a condemnation, but I will point out that, to keep this theology free, we should avoid any issues of interpretation of the book. I know that if we addressed that topic I would say quite a bit, so it is best we not go there on these forums.

Sorry about this. if you think that things will get out of hand than do as you will and lock it or deleat it I don't mind. I thought that it would be intereasting to see how many people read the book.

Sorry. Was not my intention to discuss theology. I misinterpreted Syoran's initial post as asking for an explanation. My answer is certainly not the only interpretation that's out there and I wouldn't want to imply that it was.

I'll be more careful next time.

I read it. I was giggling through out the book, I know imature... No actually, I just found it happiful and the whole thing sounded almost like a shakspear play.

I believe you are thinking of a different book. Song of Solomon (or "Song of Songs") was in the King James Version and I believe has been in the canon since such existed.

Perhaps he was thinking of what is sometimes called "Song of Susanna", which is part of the Catholic version of the Book of Daniel (this story was only found in the Greek translation, and is part of Catholic versions but not Protestant ones except in the "deuterocannonical" section (for the versions that have it).
