An Important Message for My Fellow CAA Members

Okay, I've been considering posting this message for a while now, but I was hoping and praying that the situation would improve, but unfortunately, it hasn't. So, I have two words for all of my fellow members:

QUIT FIGHTING!

Seriously, the forums have lately become battlegrounds, with members constantly arguing, debating, and all-around disobeying forum rules and policies. Christians should not be fighting some kind of "civil war" here, people! Do you honestly think that a sinner who decides to check out the CAA and who is need of salvation will stay here if everyone is arguing and stirring up controversy? That person will probably just think that this place is no different than any other forum, and then they may never hear the Gospel again. I don't want to see that happen.

So let's try to swallow our pride and quit fighting amongst ourselves. I'll admit it: I'm guilty of engaging in a disagreement around here sometimes myself. We all need to work on this and starting loving one another, as Christ commanded us.

And please, give the hard-working admins a break. If you think they're being a little short-tempered, then it's probably because they're tired of trying to lead a flock of stubborn sheep. I would get agitated, too, if members were constantly disobeying rules, stirring up trouble, and questioning authority.

So, there you have it: quit fighting and start living like God's children, not like the world! (And I really hope no one tries to start arguing in this thread...)

And admins: keep up the good work and keep fighting the good fight! :thumb:

also to add: if theres something you don't like... then avoid topics about those things! Don't go bashing things others like... even if YOU feel REALLY uncomfortable about it...

I also hope this thread will remain free of argument. If there is some related subject you feel is a serious concern, please don't bring it up here.

Meanwhile, I am more concerned about CAA as a part of the Body of Christ. We on the staff knew we'd run into this type of thing when we signed on (though we certainly don't like it), but more importantly we don't want the Church tearing itself apart. There is a place for disagreeing on serious subjects and holding each other accountable, but nothing is accomplished by tearing each other down.
