Since I've been gone a couple of months since I've been here, this may be an old question but: Is the CAA chat ever going to be up again?

I second that question, Azier!

Hmmm. The paint has just gotten a little more drier. Cool.

Does someone want to PM him? He's not online, though, so he can't hear our pleas.

I sincerely doubt that the chat will take priority over the server, so it may be quite a long time. Oldphilosopher will post something if he feels it necessary, but otherwise I would suggest using other methods of chatting.

Forgive my ignorance but what are AIMs?

I presume he refers to AOL Instant Messager. In the plural it would refer to the names used to contact one another using said program.

With that, I would politely ask that such discussion take place only over PMs. And perhaps we could let this thread lie?

There is a decent sized group of people using the group chat feature in Yahoo Instant Messanger to have chats.

Hmm... Mr Washington's tone of voice strikes me as slightly insulting. Although, I had a wonderful chat with Mr. Jackson the other day...

Sorry Volt, I couldn't resist. My priorities right now are:
1. Get the "slight problems with the database" errors fixed (I think that's close). At the very least, it's MUCH less frequent than before.
2. Get email up and running again.
3. Get DNS functional.
4. Figure out a good "rule of thumb" for signatures.
5. Eat breakfast.

 At this point, chat doesn't look very high on the list. On the otherhand, we have a server that can probably handle a decent chat system now, so maybe I'll get it set up sometime, yeah? ;)

Um, I know UC said to take this to PM, but I just wanted to say that if anyone wants to chat, we do almost nightly CAA chats on Yahoo! Instant Messenger and if you want to get in on them, PM me with your Yahoo! name and I'll add you to my Friends list and invite you to the chats.

That's a perfectly acceptable post; it gives information that the author of this thread and others may want to know. Now, several dozen posts saying "Ooh! That's really cool!" would not be helpful. Say that while chatting with the others.
