Chapter One in the rather exciting adventure of the Doctor in Texas:
Well, what started as a planned two day drive to Texas turned into one man's obsession in making it one day. My mom planned on doing it in two days. However, we started out making such good time that I decided to do away with the annoyance of driving two days and jammed it into one.
My mom reluctantly agreed. Fortunately for her, when this decision was made, it during my shift. It was already about 6 pm when I took over, and we were outside of Texas. So, from then until 12:30 am I drove, and it rocked. Around 8 pm I started to get tired, so what did I do? I stopped in at the nearby gas station to pump fuel, and then resorted to the two secret weapons of any driver: Snickers and a can of Starbucks Doubleshot.
Oh boy, was I wired! I was firm in my determination to reach our destination in one night. I had turned it into a rite of passage into being a man. And I succeeded. Boy am I happy.
Only sad thing is that I'm still kind of wired so it's going to take awhile to get to sleep.
The weather's great. The night sky rocks. Boy is it good to be back in my home state, though I shalt return to Ohio soon (which wouldn't be a bad thing were it not for the colder weather).
Oh well, I'll keep you all posted on the rather exciting adventures of The Doctor in Texas. Oh yah, btw, there are far too many trucks challenging me on the road here. But I dealt with them.
God bless y'all.
