breaking from routine

i've lately been feeling like i wanna break from the routine, like i wanna go places and see things. Then I remember that i'm only 14 years old. I feel like my life is dragging on. I've shared this with my parents and they say that I have a "missionary heart" and that God has awesome things planned for me.....but i dunno. Has anybody else felt this way before, and does anybody know how to defeat this feeling?

Yes, I have. But you have to remember you are 14 and you've got the rest of high-school to go first. Finish that and then become a missionary if that's what you feel God's calling you to. That would be awesome! You just have to remember its in God's timing. He does use young people, most definetly. Maybe you could be a leader for a youth group or something at your church? That's what I did. Its easier to grow in your faith to when you're surrounded by like-minded people, drinking the Word and praying together (may I suggest a bible study group?) those work well.
Keep on living for Christ, mate!
God Bless!

I feel that way often, my youth group leader said what your parents said. "God has great things planned for you."
I feel it the most when I have just finished reading/watching something really good. Then I wish I were there. It is so bad once I wanted to run away. I was only 12.Good sence kicked in so I didn't. But the feeling still remaned. I sometimes I just think about Heaven. And then I pray it works sometimes. But I could use some advise too.

I think many of us Christians feel this way. Try doing devotions as a family around the tea (dinner) table or something, that works too.
