Leaving.

Looks like I'm getting on a lot of people's nerves lately...especially the mods. (Don't worry about it, I'm not in trouble...I don't think.)

So, to avoid any further problems...

:bang: :bang: :bang:

I'm leaving for a while. I don't know when I'll be back on, but it seems like the past week or so has been doing me no good at all.

Nothing personal to anybody at all. It's not the trolls, and it's only partly about the animal incidents that seem to pop up here.

Clearing things up...I don't like/want to debate theology, it actually gets on my nerves when I get in a said debate. I am not a vegetarian, just against animal cruelty. I am not trying to cause trouble around here, nor waste people's time. And I am not that troubled by all the trolling lately.

It's just that...I don't like causing problems, especially if it's on accident, and apparently I have been.

I don't want to waste people's time, especially the mods', and especially because of all the trolling.

So...farewell. See you guys sometime, I guess...maybe.

Special farewell to the mods--especially you, Ash. To my fellow Kenshin-loving fans, especially those who voted "yes" ;). To my roleplaying friends (Christiangirl and Sparten, 'specially you). To YoukoKuramaFan and Oro!Girl (don't go bonking me, I'll call you), and Madeline--mind as well put Kenshin in a tutu, but beware when I get back, you'll be Doomed with a capital T, oh, and Oro!Girl will get you for me while I'm gone.

Come on now. Just because you've gotten on some people's nerves doesn't mean you should leave. I admire strong people who stand up for what they believe in even when it gets them into trouble.
But you can do what you feel is best. I'm just saying nobody can get along with everyone all the time. I know for sure I make atleast one person mad on these boards. ;)

EDIT: never mind the 1st part

Heart of Sword is one of the people that I like the most here. I agree with a lot of what she posts, she's a perfectly good member and has always been respectful yet gets a lot of crap for her views. Heart, I'll miss ya if you can please try to get AIM or MSN, I really do enjoy talking with you. Btw, also, Heart, I'm also on Anime Angels, my SN is Vyse there, you might want to sign up there ^_^ they are much more open to discussion questsions such as "Do animals have souls?" You'll fit in just fine there ^_^

you are a brave one vyse, I'm not saying anything though, I've already said my share of words and i'm done. It's time to work with what we've got, and try to understand why we have it, and have faith that what we have to work with is the right thing, wheather or not we agree with it.

Heart of Sword, me and you have to have a talk over PM or IM. If you think YOU got on the Mod's nerves, you haven't herd my story, and if I didn't leave for good, there is NO REASON what so ever you should leave.

Clicky my profile, and add my IMs to your buddy list, I'm almost always on up until Dec 18...

Heart of Sword, if a short break would do you good, then of course take one... but I'm sorry that some of those threads were part of the reason you feel that way. =/

If you really do decide to take a break from CAA, I hope you come back soon.

HoS, I hate to see you leave. I've done much worse than you but people manage to tolerate me. I don't think there's any reason whatsoever why you should feel unwelcome.

Yes, locked topics can be very annoying when they get banned in the midst of an interesting conversation, but CAA is clear about keeping this a friendly, non-threatening place. I'm sure most of the debates that spawn from your posts are due to other people's immaturity, certainly not because you're trying to flamebait. That's just how it is on the 'net, people think that because they're anonymous they can be as obnoxious and overbearing as they please.

So don't let it bother you, it isn't your fault. I hate seeing this kind of thing happen to a totally great person.

If you feel that this i what God is laying on your heart, I say go with it. However, you will be extremely missed. I havn't been on CAA lately so I'm in the dark however I will pray that this break, that you've decided to take, will come your nerves as well as the others that might be affected by this.

I will be here when ya get back :)

I can only speak for myself as a staffer, but I am pretty sure your speaking in reference to a PM responce I sent you. None of the staff is annoyed with you. I was simply honost with you. To start PMing people and trying to debate points further after a thread is locked...is rather annoying though. Just let it go. The staff is up to our eyeballs right now dealing with issues on the site...we simply don't have the energy to argue over locked threads. Sorry if that seems harsh...but you gotta realise...CAA is getting bigger every day...the staff is the right size for the job...but we have jobs. We pour ourselves into this site...and really....its distracting to deal with a member who is angry that there thread got locked. Anyway I hope you change your mind, as I am sure you can contribute to the site as a member.

I'm very sorry if I've ever said anything that offended you. Assure anything that I've ever said has been ENTIRELY in jest. I too love animals. Well, I shall look forward to your return. Whenever that is.

Just to clear the air a bit about AA, since I've heard a few people mention it:

they are much more open to discussion questsions such as "Do animals have souls?" You'll fit in just fine there ^_^

AA is our affiliate, our sister ministry, NOT our competition or our replacement. We have our differences, but those differences are meant to compliment each other not compete. We are two sites with a common vision, not two different companies in the same field.

As for Heart of Sword's departure, of course you will be obviously missed. But, if you feel that you'd be better off without CAA, then I have to trust that it's for a greater purpose. As Shatterheart said, we (the staffers as a whole) are not annoyed with you at all; even if we were that's no reason you shouldn't stay. Just because someone rubs me the wrong way doesn't mean I'd ever chase them off as a member. My staff is all mature enough not to let their personal feelings for someone get in the way of their administrative duties, and they know that.

As I said, if you feel this is right for you then I wish you the very best outside of CAA and hope you grow in Christ. Just feel that there is no pressure from the staff for you to leave.

Oh and that makes it SO bad to bring it up Ashley that you had to go on and make a little statment about how you two are not in competition? Please, get over yourself and your admin position here, I was just making a reccomndation for a place where she'd feel more comfortable at, there's no need for you to go on about how your site and AA share a common vision and not in competition with each other.

Typicaly when an Admin on a site tells you somthing....its wise not to erase it Vyse. I tryed to warn you. And this is the thanks I get? Thank you for being a shining example of a Christian member. Please lecture me some more on how I should be a better leader. Hypocrit.
