I am making a website and I want a picture with the name of it written the picture. If anyone has any ideas of a good pictures that would be a good backround and could have the words "Christian Poetry Society" done up in like some kind of word are pattern in the text, please let me know. Obviously the theme for the site is writing and it's taken from a Christian perspective. Thank you.

I'll talk to you further about this, Sher. I visualize something relatively simple though.

I was thinking something simple, artistic, classy, and not necessarily black and white but also not in your face bright.

Maybe something with a pen writing or drawing accross a page going up to an angle at the right side or a pen coming out of a jar of ink, although it doesn't have to be soemthing like that. I am open to other ideas.

I need about a screen wide and a couple of inches tall.

Hmmm, okay. I only spent an hour on this so if you don't like it, I won't in any way be crushed. :thumb: (If I had time tonight, I would have made a couple diff. ones) The fonts on my computer are lame, so I made a background and did one version with a font and the other scribbling the text.
Are either vaguely what you had in mind? If not, at least you'll have something visual to go on in suggesting changes/something different.

Wow. I'm liking these. It needs to say Christian Poetry Society, not Christian Poet Society. I Also, for the thing that looks like a feather on the right, I like the way the "y" goes into it on the first one. I like the way the font lines up on the first one, but I want something with a font that is a little more like the one on the second or a little less like my handwriting. I like the first picture best, but I like the straighness of the second font.

Poetry? Hehe, whoops! (Guess that's what I get for working late at night).
All righty then. I'll fix the name and figure out something with the font tomorrow. Right now...I'm going to bed *yawn*.

0_o Your handwriting looks like that too?

hehehe. Okay. I kinda got the feeling you wanted something alittle in-between the last two. Not terribly austere, yet not chicken scratch. :lol:

How is this? Closer?

For reference, this file is 28.4kb and will take about 11 sec to upload over 28K modem. That's about the recomended limit DL time for any graphic. Fortunately, most people have something faster nowadays. It will upload in about 6 sec with 56K and in a blink with anything faster.

Ooh, those are beautiful! Good job, and boy am I glad I didn't have to do all of that work ^^;;

It looks simple, slapping some text/pictures/brushes on a background but many times it can take hours...
