Well, i just finished Yr 12 a month or so ago... but allow me to say that although it may seem hard at the time, keep focused on God and He'll get you through it :thumb: I thought I would have been extremely stressed during the finals, but God helped me and changed my attitude towards it all. I actually enjoyed some exams!

Ok, I know it sounds weird, but I really did!

I'm in 4th year at university, studying Audio Technology & Multimedia. (The Honours year) its pretty painful right now, i've got a group assessment, a software interface design assessment, a networking simulation analysis, and a mid project report all to hand in for Christmas

:eh: :?: :hits_self

those include 3 reports about 6-8,000 words per report, and then my project is just scary, but i'll tell everyone about it later in the thread.

I'll let my post be the first praise. First off I'm a freshman at the University of Houston studying Graphic Communications. It's an act of God that I even went there...I was awarded a big scholarship, and that's the only reason I'm there.

But, that scholarship put a lot of pressure on me, and school this semester was pretty rough. Quite a different world. Yet God managed to get me through 15 hours in the Honors college writing 2 papers per weekend and balancing a part time job. So praise be unto Him for that! I know it wasn't by my strength. Next semester will be a little easier for me...though in the future I will definately need some prayer as I attempt to pass a highly competitive portfolio review to finish the program.

Nice one Yahshua. I'm at the University of Western Australia and have just finished my 1st year,.. so I'm on Holidays now  I started off with a double degree in Bachelor of Arts/Science. But next year I am dropping Science and just doing Arts before doing a diploma in education. Thats the plan at the moment.

And you're right Yahshua; Sociology and anthropology are pretty hard to deal with. I did a couple of Anthropology/Sociology units and found I was a culturalist and only enjoyed it because it focused abit on religion and why people act the way that they do (ie socilaisation and acculturation) which explains alot of in terms of 'religious' people who 'drop' their faith, only because their parents had it ... you know what I mean.

But otherwise it is very anti-theism and particularly anti-Christ; "its just their way of dealing with uncertanity, and we (anthro/socilo) won't believe it because we know how it came about and why they act the way they do". But good luck with that!!

I'm a Food Science major pursuing my Master's degree in Michigan State. I was supposed to graduate at the end of this year but let's just say that, some interruptions came about and delayed my work. I'm scheduled to complete my data collection and to write my thesis/defend next year around mid Spring 05.

I studied a variety of topics such as Marketing, Packaging, Instrumental Analysis and Wine Judging. I'm very thankful for that opportunity. ^_^

I work on analyzing polymeric polyphenols in fermented cider and the development of value-added chestnut products. I mess around with dangerous chemicals, high pressure/temp food processing, writing scientic posters & papers, and am active in Food Science organizations (we made sausage last month, no kidding).

God has been Faithful guiding me through these 2 years. Last Spring, I was so stressed out. Only by God's Grace, did I survive being scolded by my professor, fighting with lab partners, messing up my experiments, staying up until late mornings etc.etc.

I will not have an assistantship next semester and will have to live off my savings or perhaps a part-time job to pay off my tuition and expenses. But I'm thankful that I can finally see the light at the end of the tunnel (graduate!) and that I've become a wiser person from the experience I gained from the hardships of my graduate term. I must point out a significant spiritual growth: I learnt to trust God with my future and am finally released from that painful burden called "worry."

Oh yeah, I'm the unofficial secretary, cleaning maid and graphic artist of the lab. Strangely, I cheerfully attend to such minor thankless jobs. Mave at your service, yes sir. ^__^

I am currently a sophomore at Texas State University (AKA: SWT). Finally, this semester I have decided to go into Education; looks like i'll be a math teacher. But currently I'm debating whether or not to do a double major. I was thinking along the lines of physical therapy/ athletic trainer or coaching.

As of now, I am a part time worker trying to make ends meat while paying for my education. Since my step dad was out of work for the summer, the state awarded me a $2000 pale grant, which really helps out a lot. Though I doubt I will get any help next year. Last year and probably next year I will have to pay for it all. That's always difficult. I'll take it day by day and have faith everything will work out. Currently I'm trying to finish my paper for philosophy class. Plato can be quite a handful. Though I believe it's going good.

Stress wise.... Yeah got a lot of that. Will I get the grades I need to pass? Is this the major I really want to go for? It can be quite hard to balance time between classes, work, chores and whatever you need to do. But I'm optimistic, I know I'll do good in life. Though I hope i can handle the stress of next semester; I'll have a bigger course load.

I am chem. major with bio. and math minors, a biochem. emphasis, and possibly a biochem. double major. I am also toying with the idea of a physics minor too. If I sound like I've lost my mind... it's probably because I must have to be taking these classes all at once! I had X-rays of my back taken over Thanksgiving because I've hurt my back carrying around all my heavy books, as much as a fifth of my bodyweight I discovered.

Anyhow, I'll pray for you guys, too. Remember, no matter what, tough times end.

Like Talame, I just finished HSC and am currently doing nothing but playing games. Probably why you see me post so often suddenly :P

Thanks to God, I went through the HSC as if it were just like any other exam. You should know, all those Asian parents make their kids work work work study study and study. I got off easy :)

I wish I can go to software enginerring in UNSW. If God wills it, then I'm there. If not, then He wants me to do other computer degrees, so I'm all happy either end.

Hey everyone.

I go to College in NZ. No, don't get scared about a 16-year-old going to college. Over here in NZ we use the word College and High school interchangably, and call tertiary institutions Universities (though their name might also contain the word College....).

I'll be starting tertiary study in two years (you lucky Australians only go to year 12, don't you? We can leave at that year level or do Year 13 at school. It's pretty good, actually - we do a lot of Uni level subjects for a lot cheaper than it'd cost otherwise ;) ), and wondered if anyone had any general advice regarding starting Universities? I guess I'm looking more from a Christian point of view, as in how to meet opposition to Christianity and groups/classes that are likely to show opposition, but general advice is awesome, too.

All the best for your exams, Yahshua, Mechana2015, Agasfas and everybody else who has them. God bless you all in your studies and may he be with you in the exams.
