I am super, super excied. I just bought my first laptop
!!! It's a Toshiba It says Satellite on it so maybe that's the name) brand and it's awesome!! This baby is fast, big, and powerful (not to mention expensive
) I love it though. Their's still some bugs to figure out but hopefully we can. For instance, my internet browser won't let me PM or even poss in some forus (however it does let me post in this one). My uncle and I are currently working on installing my wireless router but it has some complications with our AOL and internet explorer. So we have to share the internet (my laptop and my ome computer can't be on the internet at the same time).
Also with the laptop, I got a 3-in-1 (printer/copier/scanner) so I got a double bonus. S now I can watch The Family Guy ABD do stuff on the computer in the living room. Thanks for puttng up with my happy ranting

I hope your future relationship with your new laptop fruits out well.
I plan to get a laptop myself soon too, and it'll be an IBM as it seems. I can't wait until I get it

It's a beautiful, beautiful thing, Hitokiri. I'm happy for you. I, however, am eyeing one of those Apple laptops.

As well as I Termyt but I decided this over a apple. I may in the future, but I wanted a good starter computer. Plus I like pc's. I took a Mac class at school and they were ok...I liked the fact that I was able to customze alot of the Mac.
Plus the major I'm going in deals with Mac's but the person whom I talked to aid it doesn't realy matter cause it's all the same programs basically.
I just showed my dad the laptop ( he was at work yesterday) and he loved it.
So n ow I can partcipate in LAN parties without using another person' computer!!

Mine's Bob the Computer - he's a dell, too. Soon, I hope to have a Bob the Apple, though.
I'm looking at Apple for two reasons - One, I'm tired of Microsoft and all of the nonsense and two, you can't beat Apple quality for hardware. Although, I don't know a lot about Toshiba.
Perhaps we can help you name her? It seems to me that your compy is definitely a female, perhaps Linda?

My computer is named William. He's gone through a lot of surgery in his day, but this eMachines model is plenty tough. I'll post his specs...
2Ghz AMD Athalon XP Processor
40 GB Hard drive
128MB Garphics Card
384 MB RAM (He started with 128, adn got a 256 MB card. XD)
Broadband Connection (Rock on!)

Hmmm...i was thinking of naming it Larz (inside youth group joke) but I like the female name.
My specs are:
3.20 GHz Pentium 4 Processor 538
448 MB of Ram
80 GB hard drive
802.11G wireless connection
those good? (naive about computer information)

Quite good. Stick a powerful graphics card in it and you've got yourself a gaming machine. By itself it's still great for general purpose computer stuff.
