Stupids...they spiked the punch at my school dance.

I've been told about it by some people. Fortunately, I was playing Halo at the time of the dance (around 10), so I wasn't there. I looked at the clock at about 2 AM and told him, "Crap! I forgot about the dance. Oh well." Afterwards, we went back to Silent Hill 4. It works better than caffiene at keeping you awake.

If I knew who commited this act of pure stupidity, I would have them arrested as soon as possible. It certainly doesn't make the student council look good...as a representative, I'd hear about it as soon as they felt like blaming someone.

It stinks that people feel like they have to do things such as that to have "fun" while ruining other students's good clean fun while they are at it. I am so glad that I never have to go back to high school. You don't have too much longer, do you?! :D Enjoy all of the craziness while it lasts!

I LOVE the Silent Hill series, but I have yet to complete Silent Hill 3. It gets to me a little bit sometimes, especially when one plays in the dark!

thats just foolish.

i hope they get caught or someone gets the guys to turn them in.

HALO while a dance was going on? props man, the best way to enjoy a dance is with three friends and a assault rifle.

Punch in the face comradery,

Uhm..this may sound weird but....What does it mean to "spike" punch? I was homeschooled through highschool so I don't know these things....what is it?

I believe it's to put alcohol into a drink.

alcohol? Here when someone 'spikes' a drink, it means they put LSD or hardcore drugs into it, you know the severe hallinogenic kind?

No kidding? Here it almost always means putting a little sauce in the punch. What a horrible, thoughtless thing to do. I hope they never did that at your school, skynes.

That's really sad. Pathetic, indeed.

BTW, Skynes, I thought that when something had drugs added to it, it was considered "laced." The term "spiked" generally is associated with alcohol in my mind.

Don't know, maybe I'm wrong. Afterall, I'd be the first to say that I'm no expert on the topic.

That's pretty sad. I hope they get caught.

By the way, D2G, I've never been to a school dance. Didn't even go to either one of my proms, and I'm pretty sure I didn't miss much. So since you were playing Halo, that makes you really kewl.

Fifteen cool points to you, Destroyer2000! :cool:

as far as the laced vs spiked thing goes, I guess it's just a difference in vernacular. ^^;

i agree, i never go to my dances, cause thery're always... lets say, dirty, and nasty. And unchristian-like. So I go to my youth group on friday! Which is like 492857302495632479856 to the power of infinity times better than any school dance!

Lucky! You have youth group on Friday!? Anyway on topic now, thats just wrong...But Halo ROCKS man! (Yes a girl who likes to play halo, unreal tournament, and other first person shooters!) I'm in middle school and haven't been to any dances or anything (i'm homeschooled) but I think that Halo would be a much better way to spend an evening than to go to a school dance!

You better not be an expert, Osaka. We'd have to have another chat if you were. Image (]http://christiananime.net/images/smilies/sweat.gif[/img]

spiking the punch... Kids nowdays. I guess who ever did it wanted to feel like he accomplished something. I bet he thinks he's cool. But that's just pathetic and immature.

When I hear "spiking, " I understand it as "deliberately adding certain concentration levels of microbes in a food sample for analysis in our microbiology lab". Ex. Sample A has 10-8 CFU Escherichia coli O157:H7.

Ok, that's your lesson in microbiology for today. :)

My only experience in consuming something 'spiked' with alcohol was jelly shots. I thought the green and red jellies were going to be sweet and all but they were so bitter and left my esofagus kinda warm. Needless to say, I knew very little about alcohol then. ^_^;;;

Hope those kids learn not to idolize alcohol so much. I don't get what's the whole big deal about alcohol.

my former high school decided to avoid potential spiking incidents by providing pre-sealed bottled drinks (ie: soda, water). the chaperones also did breathalizer (sp?) tests at the door, and anyone who didn't pass was not allowed in. some people complained - but only those who would have been at risk for getting caught... ^^.

myself - i prefer to have fun that i can remember, and i get enough bad headaches that i don't need to set out to give myself one on purpose...
if and when i did go to a dance, my friends and i usually ended up having battles with the table decor - confetti makes fun ammo - and/or hitting the balloons around. we avoided the 'fun' that the other people were having, but still ended up having a good time anyway.

My mom said that at her high school reunion, some people put marijuana in the brownies. She (thankfully) did not eat those brownies

yeah some kid put alcohol in Dr. Pepper and gave it to some of my friends and my friends almost got expelled for it, and the kid that brought it did, and that's that my school is a private (christian) school. It really made me mad ></)
