I was making cinnamon toast earlier and a thought popped in. I'm curious of what other members like to make that are both easy and simple.
Or if you can't think of anything, what do you like to cook in general?
Like for cinnamon toast I toasted some bread, then put butter on it, then a thin layer of sugar and lastly top it off with sprinkles of cinnamon. Old recipe learned when I was young.

Hey... that sounds good... I need to eat breakfast.
Okay!! What do I like to make that's easy and simple.... NOODLES!!! Having a Korean mommy makes noodles a special part of your life. ^^
Rice, rice is good. You just get the rice out of the bag, let it soak in water for a while, put it in the rice cooker, press "cook rice," and presto, RICE!!! We eat wild rice, not white rice.
Bagels and cream cheese are good. I just put the bagel in the toaster for a minute or so.. something like that... and then when it comes out, nice and toasty, I put cream cheese on it. : )
I like making cookies, too. Cookies are really easy.... if you have a cookbook... Or, you could get those cookies that are already made, and you just need to put it in the oven to get it ready. Those are fun.
Ugh, I'M HUNGRY!!! I'm going to go eat. Fun thread, agasfas. ^^

For lunch I like to eat ramen noodles (in a cup with the little freeze-dried veggies) and a cheese quesadilla (sp) which I make by putting slices of cheese in a tortilla and folding it once and cooking it in a pan which has cooking spay on it. Works out very nicely since i can prepare the quesadilla for cooking whilst my water for the ramen-noodles is heating up, and when the water boils i put that in the ramen noodle cup and just put the pan on the pre-heated burner

I like to make instant ramen, drain the water, and then stir fry it with some eggs and soy sauce. Mmmm~~
When I'm stressed I start to randomly bake, too, so I've got dozens of recipes for fast cookies and brownies and muffins up my sleeve. Mmm, cinnamon apple muffins.

Randomly..bake? Wow.. I wish I could do that. I would probably make something that would kill off all the humans in the surrounding area.

Start out with premade mixes. Add water, and hope that there's no fish poopies in it. Then you're good to go!

nuked potatoes....throw a potato in the microwave for a few minutes (between two and five or until you can stab it clean through with little effort) cut it open, then add butter, cheese, bacon, scallions etc. and throw it back in again until the cheese is nice and melted then mash it up and eat it! It's soooo good (that or i'm potato obesessed)
Soup is always good too... just throw some bullion in hot water and you're good to go.

Peanut Butter and Jelly Sandwhich--the all time classic late night snack. Sometimes I mix it up, like putting peanut butter and jelly on a tortilla, or with crackers. And with a big mug of cold milk? Mmmm...now that is some good eating.

Same here. I eat so much ramen it's not funny. Actually i eat a lot of cup of noodles too.
Peanut Butter and Jelly Sandwhich--the all time classic late night snack.
I always make those all the time. People at work make fun of me because of that. They say, "Dude, i only ate those in elementary school." But hey, I love them. I favorite is Grape Jelly.
Also, what is really good is taking a tortilla and puting cheese in the middle, microwave them for about 10-15sec. WHen it's done you roll them up and eat. It's a quick fixing, and it's good eating.

I cook "real" food sometimes, but when I'm impatient I just cook a TV dinner
English Muffin Pizzas
What you need:
English Muffin
Ragu Pizza Sauce
Mozzerella Cheese
Other toppings (sliced mushrooms, olives, pepperoni, etc.)
What to do:
1. Preheat oven to 350
2. Cut English Muffin in half
3. Put about 2 teaspoons of sauce on each half
4. Sprinkle how ever much cheese you want (not too much!)
5. Cook in oven for about 10 minutes or until cheese is melted
*TIP: I find it easier for the toppings to actually stay on the pizza if you put the toppings on first and THEN the cheese.
Try it everyone! It's a really good and easy-to-make lunch

Veggie Tales huh.... Well Thank you. I actually picked this name bacause all the letters are on the same side of the keyboard; that way I don't have to lift my hand when typing it
.
It seems to me that Ramens are the most popular choice for us chefs. Anyone ever try peanut butter and banana sandwhich? It's alright, i just have to drink a lot of milk to clear my throat.

What is a peanut and jelly snack? Here in Australia jelly is a wobbly desert. It isn't the same there is it?
Me, I like saladas with melted cheese, tomato, raw onion, and a generous amount of oregano sprinkled on top and then sweet chilli sauce. Delicious!
I also like toast with butter and honey and cheese on top.
Toast with butter, vegemite and cheese is really nice too.

I used to come home from my summer job and cook english muffin pizzas all the time for lunch. I prefer English Muffins over a bagel because they make softer crusts. I like mine with mushrooms
I used to eat ramen noodles faithfully back in highschool when I got home. But I had to lay off because I was partaking of too much starch
But peanut butter sandwiches are a classic.

Rumaki (sp?) - An easy (and addictive) appetizer that you can make in the microwave.
Fry some bacon (keep it soft and not crispy).
Take some toothpicks. Take some water chestnuts. Wrap one or two water chestnuts with a small piece of bacon, top with a small chunk (about 1/16th of a slice) of american cheese, and skewer the bacon/waterchestnut/cheese with a toothpick.
Repeat until you have about 20 or so of these on a plate. Microwave till cheese melts. Mmm. Good.
I also have some recipes for no bake cookies (oatmeal/chocolate/peanut butter) and spicy cream cheese pinwheels (pimento/jalapeno/cream cheese wrapped in a tortilla and then rolled up and cut into pinwheels). I'll probably put these recipes into the 'recipe' thread...wherever it went.
Oh yeah...crab cheese wontons are quick if you have a deep fryer. And they are sooo good when you make your own sweet and sour sauce. The wontons are quick, but the sauce takes a little time because you need to grate the ginger. That's another recipe for the recipe thread. I'm gonna dig that up sometime this week I hope...
Thanks for the mnipizza idea GG, and thanks for reminding me of Quesadillas Sonic, I had totally forgotten about those. Thanks for the ideas guys. Keep em coming. Can't wait to try the butter/honey on toast thing, and pretty much everything else.
What's vegemite?

Um... you have never heard of vegemite? Its best described as a black paste made of vegetable yeast extract or at least thats what it says on the jar. Vegemite is an Australian icon. Its a spreading.

the Vashage: simply fluffer-nutters.
People: HUH??
the Vashage: allow me to explain...put peanut butter on one piece of bread and put marshmallow fluff on the other piece of bread and put together like you would a PB&J sandwich and inhale it because it tastes sooooo good. *lol*
People: Oh.
the Vashage: it's not really a recipe, at least I don't think it is.... My mom came up with it. Another thing--for breakfast this time--pretend like you are making a grilled cheese sandwich. grill either one side or both sides of your bread (i do both) then put a piece of cheese on each slice and then put it on your plate and pour syrup over them and eat with a fork. YUMMY!!

rice! for those of you without rice cookers, like me, boil 1 cup of water. when it's bubbly, turn the heat off, pour in 1 cup of rice, and put the lid on the pot. let it sit for 5 minutes. i like to add in the flavoring for spicy chili ramen. =)
