I was wonder what anime clubs everyone here is a member of?
I am a member of CSMAC College of Southern Maryland Anime Club, LaPlata, Maryland
I am the oldest member and have the most time in the club since the first meeting which was some 10 years or more.
It is open to the public to anyone who are interested in anime and everything about it.
The club does have to have a number of college students to maintain the club.
We always met on Sundays from 1 to 6 but at one time 2 to 7.
Now the club meets Fridays from 5 to 7 for students and 1 to 6 second and forth Sundays for those who work or can show then.
President has to be a student, VP does not which is held by the club founder. The other positions are open at this time but were filled when the club was moving along smoothly but has had problems for a time but hope all that will be corrected soon.
I am sort of the Club Guardian because of my being a volunteer firefighter/EMT using my training at Neko Con as part of the medical staff.
I got that postion at Neko Con by accident when they did not have any trained medical people for the Con and I was asked to help.

I was a member of the LHHS Anime Club for two years, but I quit going because they began to show stupid 2 bit anime (u_u; All Bandai, all the time. Eeew) and because I picked up the job as Creative Writing club's Vice President. ^_^;

I am a member of CJAS: The Cornell Japanese Animation Society. It's pretty much all undergrads, but we have a fair amount of grad students and faculty as well. We have showings every Saturday night during the school year from 8 PM to 12, although I usually leave around 11.
They also have newsletters in which members write articles about various topics such as anime terms, cosplaying, review of various animes, etc.
I joined their E-Board (i.e. planning committee) as well, which is cool. They show pretty good animes and have introduced me to a lot of good ones (i.e. Excel Saga, Slayers, Fruits Basket, Noir, Nadesico, Last Exile, Kenshin, etc.)

We are starting a anime club at my college in St. Joseph, MO. I'm a little worried about it though. I can't remember the romaji name of the club but it translates to "god of death" or something like that. That bothers me a little.
I had no say in this because I haven't been able to go to the few gatherings they've had. I'll guess I'll have to see how meetings go. I'll keep you updated.

Here is something interesting. Our club's old name was Japanese Animation Society of Charles County Community College J.A.S.C.C.C.C.
Where it is now C.S.M.A.C. because the college merged with 2 other counties' to become College of Southern Maryland so we had to changed our name.

I'm a member of my libaries' unnamed anime club.Which stinks,by the way.All we do is talk about library politics, even though it's an anime club. And even though I've been there since it started,I get treated like dirt.Every other member is treated higher, even the newbies.Ands it's all because I'm shy.My opinion doesn't even count there. It's pathetic..

Doesn't sound much like a anime club. It should be a manga club I would say. I feel sorry for you to be treated by those it seems have no idea what a anime club should be doing and that should be watching anime.

Well! After being the one to start this Thread. My anime club disbanded because of lack of members who have to students of the community college where it was started and held on the weekends plus the college locked us out during the Summer which may help withe disbandment
. We had plenty of people to make up the club but we had to have student involment.
The other thing to cause the club to lose people was disagreements, people who had to work or had family situations or discovered they could down load the anime the from the internet from fan services before American companies could copyright the anime.
I hope those who were loyal as members can find a new place to meet and enjoy the anime we were watching. Without the club I feel and the few others will not have a social life like we had together during the 8 years the club was functional.

If memory serves me correctly, before Anime Angels became a set of message boards as well it was just an online club. I was a member of that as well as Keely's Supernatural boards, well before the two were integrated. Does that count?

Lol.
I want to join an anime club but it's so hard to find! Most places that are closer to my house like Media Play only have Anime meetings every friday once a month. yeah, so that kinda shoots the whole perpose, so I really only have anime club nights at my house, which is okay I guess but sometimes I want to be around other anime fanatics. Oh well, you can't win em' all I guess.

I'm a charter member of the T.E.P.N.A.C. club.T.E.P.N.A.C. stands for:
The Ever Popular No Anime Club club.
I think those of us who aren't members of any anime club should form
one and call it the T.E.P.N.A.C. club just for the heck of it!
