CAA: Christian Anime Alliance

It seems that my grades have been slipping during the first two weeks and my parents are blaming CAA. You know what theat means. I'm sorry, but I am not allowed on here for a week. And if my grades still do not improve I will not be allowed back. They're also keeping me from going to a youth group that I rather enjoyed, all because I missed a one day's reading of verses *3 a day*. So...Much prayer during this time would be great.....I'M GONNA MISS YOU ALL TERRIBLY!!!!

This is absolutely horrendous. I will not insult your parents, because I don't think that's right. However I will say that I think what they're doing is extremely foolish. I know people who didn't even get to watch TV or anything when they were kids, and they still didn't get the best grades. Some people just aren't as on the ball as others, others are very intelligent but just don't take tests well. Either way, I will definitely be praying for you.

They're not letting you go to youth group either? Promised myself I wouldn't insult...

I don't blame your parents; they've got to make sure you stay focused on the important things (of which CAA is not a part, frankly).

I'm going to miss you most of all. Parents can, I think can be over punishing some times.
As long as you are truly trying your best I think they should understand. Yes, for a moment your grades might be down. but grades flucuate. I can not recall when my grades where ever the same. It also depends on the way your teacher teaches. I'm a visual learner and if I don't have that my grades don't seem to do as well as the others. And if you are missing one assinment that can change it to. There are some many things. Oh and collage is a lot harder then most people think.

And if you ever just need to get away I'm always here for you. My house might not be the funnest place, but it's quite and nice. And theres always Jelli. (I have my PS2 you can play)

But I think your parents are only thinking of you and CAA might be a problem. I know I spend to much tim on here and the internet then I should with homework

But if it is a factor, then I think its for the best. As for youth group thing, it's a privledge thus taken away. A punishment to not be able to go. But I think it would be wrong to not be able to go to a bible study. Youth Group I can see not be able to go cause you have fun there. At a bible study though you learn more than have fun.

I dont mean to cut you down bakura-fan, I'm just giving a perspective on your parents reasoning.

Be sure to study hard. Education is important; it sounds to me like your parents are only doing what they think is best for you.

When you get back on, I suggest leaving again immediately and staying away for a month or two to prove that it's not the CAA that's keeping your grades down. Or you could ask your parents if you could have only 15-30 minutes a day on the CAA?

Whatever happens, I'll be praying! You're one of our favorite people here, so the prayers won't cease.

That stinks... especially the youth group part. I cant judge you, your grades, or how much time you spend online, but I will say that I myself have to seriously cut down on my CAA time during the school year to keep my grades up
