Hurricane Francis: Charlie's Big Sis is coming to town!!! :(

Hurricane Francis is coming in tomorrow. :(
I haven't been able to get online because we've been scrambling to prepare for the storm...
This will be my third major natural disaster yet! :stressed:
Pray that we'll make it out alright, and that all of us would be strengthened and have faith...
I would post this in the
"Prayer" section but it's rather urgent and the "General" section is where most users go first.
I'm starting to wonder what God is trying to teach me through all of this. I know that I haven't been as faithful as I should, and a few times I have let hope slip in the dire hours of the fire and storms.
I'm trying to admit my fears and insecurities this time, but stay faithful and hope for the best.
Wish me luck on my quest to survive the hurricane...(or better yet, pray. ^_^ But I've already mentioned this before...)
I'm typing this out on notepad right now because the internet is painfully slow to load.
Everyone is panicked and is trying to find out as much as they can...most people are fleeing to the North, but it's not much better there since everything has or will possibly flood.
It's so hard to pack and leave everything behind...the last two times this has happened, it wasn't so hard. In the fire, I had no time and little choice.
When Charlie happened, I was determined. Now, I'm having an emotional breakdown...I'm just so tired of packing and unpacking, leaving everything behind and finding out that there was no need to be frightened after all.
But I thank God that I haven't lost anything during everything that's happened to me over the past two years. There are people who have been devastated by this...people that belonged to my church, my sister's Sunday School teacher.
I need peace...and faith.
The whole thing is reminescent
of little kid pouring water on an ant hill. The ants all panic, not knowing what to do...and they run around in circles helplessly while everything they worked for and knew is destroyed.
Happy happy happy...^_^
I'm really trying not to be depressed!
God has alot of work to do on me...I guess this is just the refining process.

Keep praying hard! Belive me! I live in Louisiana and we get bad weather all the time! Do you rmember Hurricane Lily? Well I'm serious but almost everyone I knew was praying about this big bad Catergory 4 and poof! It went all the way down to two which left the sceintists baffled. No one died during it! Only one person but it was because she left her generator on in her house. So come on everyone one and I 'm sure it'll be alright! Praying hard for you and keep a happy face! *sings he's got the whole world in his hand* =P =)

Yup...dad just boarded up the windows. ^^
We're gonna do the bathtub thing too...we have bleach so we can purify the water if we run out.
People are going crazy now...there are stabbings and shootings at ATMs and gas stations...hope everyones okay! :(
It's dangerous both to have supplies and not to. Guess it's coming down to the quick now...the storm is moving in. But God will protect us!

My parents should be boarding up the windows back in Florida. Fortunately, they live in a part of the state that will see Frances in a far more weakened state since they are in the north and inland. A good deal of the people who have evacuated are staying in hotels in the same town as where my parents live to ride out the storm.

The whole state seems more prepared this time. I am praying for my parents and my fellow Floridians.

I'm praying! I have cousins on Merritt Island; I tried emailing the other day to find out if they're okay, but I haven't heard anything. I'm guessing they evacuated.

Major flooding is still a concern. Since the storm is moving more slowly, it will stick around longer.

On a good note, I heard from my cousins. They got out of Florida and are staying with family in West Virginia.

*resumes putting tape on windows*
*resumes hiding backup candy from room-mate*
*stops and re-thinks the probability of room-mate being a canabal*

Thanks everyone for your prayers. ^_^
They're really comforting. :) :) It seems like the storm is even calming down a little bit as it goes at 6 mph.
It seems to be wobbling on its path here...sometimes I wonder if there is a spiritual battle going on there.
*imagines angels and demons playing tug-o-war with a hurricane*

The outer rings are hitting us at 2:00 pm.
Keep praying and stay safe everyone! ^^

God Bless,
-Madeline

Father, as the storm continues to unload its terrible fury so that it is even felt half the country away, I pray that You continue to watch over and protect You sheep caught out in the rain. For we know the fury of Your creation can not come close to matching Your own fearsome power. Lord, we fear You above all the fury of nature. Guide us and protect us in Your mercy and love.

Amen.
