I remember my first day in school after homeschooling for a bizzilion years. Came home and threw up, and did so every day for the first two weeks ;_;
Mind you, my mum had died less then 2 months before, and my best friend had moved away to California about a month before that, so I was already a mess. Plus it was Middle School, which is, hands down, the hardest time ever.
O_o;;;;; It gets better though, and goes by really fast even though it dosen't seem like it at the time.
Be praying for 'ya

I started homeschooling in 6th grade and stopped at 11th grade. I then started Running Start. So...my school starts the 21 of Sept. O_O I don't wanna go back to college!!!! ;-; I want more free time....

An I'm not mistaken, that would be 1/2x^2.
But anyway, school starts on Monday for me. Good luck adapting to public school, and remember, homeschoolers rock for life.

Thanks Guys,
Right now I'm swamped with HW,
Have a test on Science this week spelling this monday
and I have to memorize John 1:1-5 and write it down word for word....I think I forgot to mention this is my first year EVER in school I was Homeschooled before,
So I have a hard time with stuff that comes easy for other kids.

I start school on Wednesday, although I have already moved back. I am taking mostly philosophy and history classes, so it will be a lot of writing (but no math or science
).

I just moved back to college yesterday. Classes start Monday. Don't worry about too much about matching up to the other kids. You'll get there before you know it. I find that getting into routine usually doesn't take more then a week or two. I'll be praying for everyone starting a new school year.

latin:
in principio erat verbum, et verbum erat apud deum et deus erat verbum. His erat in principio apud deum. Omnia per ipsum facta sunt, et sine ipso factum est nihil quod factum est. In ipso vita erat, et vita erat lux hominem. Et lux in tenebris lucet, et tenebris eam non comprehenderunt.
roughly transliterated greek:
en arche en ho logos, kai ho logos en pros ton theon, kai theos en ho logos. houtos en en arche pros ton theon. panta di autou egeneto, kai xoris autou egeneto oude en ho gegonen. en autou zoe en, kai he zoe en to phos ton anthropon. kai to phos en te skotia phaivei, kai he skotia auto ou katelaben.
I used the prologue to John to practice reading Greek when I took that language, and memorized it in Latin to aid recall. I find that knowing and kind of understanding it in Latin helps me to keep it straight in English. (I think those were 1-5, it's right before "there was a man sent from God whose name was John..."

Well I'm in
almost Jman's position as I'm a freshman this year and its my first year in a traditional public school set-up. I have been homeschool for almost my whole life, although I was in a different program called "Montessori" which took place at a public middle school but was a lot different and more like homeschooling than waht most of the kids were doing there.
I'm finding highschool to be very difficult as well! Probably because i'm taking so many "honors" classes and stuff and there's SO MUCH FREAKIN HOMEWORK! I always knew my mom had been going easy on me

Memorization, yow. That's something I was never fond of. Anyways, the best of luck in your studies, and don't be afraid to ask for help should you need it.
