Aaah... yes... Disney World. I plan to spend my honeymoon there actually. With a trip to Universal Studios afterword. Then after that I'll come home and take my wife somewhere. ;)

Oi! We're going to Disneyland too. I'll be gone for two weeks starting Tuesday. I don't think I'll start a thread though... Have fun, Angel.

AngelSakura: I'm baaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaack!!!
Nick-chan: Ugh...18 hours in a SUV....
AngelSakura: Well, yeah, that kind of sucked, but what was worse was the restaurants on the road. Brrrrr. A KFC in North Carolina at 11:30 PM on a Friday....
Nick-chan: I swear, my sandwich winked at me...
AngelSakura: Well, mine was crying, so I was worse off. About 1 in the morning I started feeling a little delerious. I starting singing a mixture of Dan Dan Kokoro and My Canada.
Nick-chan: What a nightmare...
AngelSakura: Disney World itself was fun, but the trip up and the trip back were horrible. It got cut short because of Hurricane Charley.

I have jsut been to Disney Land. To be honest, I'd rather go to Great America. Especially since I learned about Disney's not so great side.

Yeah, Disney has an official "gay day" at their parks every year which they whole-heartedly endorse (not trying to flame-bait, just a fact).

If I remember correctly, the Pixar thing was mostly due to the fact that Disney wanted to basically overtake them and not split a proper deal. Eisner is notorious for having absolutely no respect for creative minds, hence the artistic rut they've been in for quite a while.

That's one of the reasons that Disney's axing their traditional animation department in favor of doing nothing but 3D films now...they mistakenly think Pixar's films are popular just because they're computer-generated. They don't realize that if creativity is going to be stifled like this for the sake of profit, they're flushing the Disney name down the toilet. I'm surprised they've lasted this long...lucky for them they ride on such a legacy, because any other animation house would be screwed if they messed up half as much.

Yes, I was pretty concerned about Disney's throwing in the towel on their cel animation department as well. Pixar movies do well because they're *good*. Did anyone hear any rave reviews about Home on the Range, by contrast (Disney's avowedly last cel animated film)?

Disney was very stupid with the Pixar arrangement and basically assumed that Pixar would have nowhere else to go. Unfortunately, Eisner forgot about how much of a cash cow Pixar could be to someone else (and speaking as a Mac user, Steve Jobs may have a creative imagination, but he's demonstrated he can also be financially practical).
