OK, I know this is sorta weird in an anime forum, but what do you call non-anime cartoons. Shows like Family Guy, Tom and Jerry, Justice League. The oldies, the American animations, and maybe even the American anime copies(Teen Titans etc.).

They do. Anime. To my knowledge, they don't differentiate with that word in regards to whether the animation is domestic or not. If anyone knows for sure, perhaps they could answer more definitively.
Anime is a word the Japanese imported from the English word animation. We then imported the word anime back from Japan as a word for animation that is specifically Japanese.
Does anyone know if the Japanese have more than one word for animation? Like we have both animation and cartoons.
I also don't know if anime is used for all forms of animation (such as stop-action animation using clay models for example) or if it's just for cartoons.

Actually, I do remember reading somewhere that 'anime' was orginally a FRENCH word. (Don't ask me for specific information, as this was some time ago.) And the word 'anime' really does mean any animation in general. From what I understand though, American cartoons have their own cult followings similar to Japanese anime. And it's probably safe to assume that they refer to them as 'cartoons'. It's probably also safe to assume that 'cartoon' fans have to put up with ignorant people calling American animation 'anime' just as in America we anime fans have to put up with ignorant people calling 'anime' 'cartoons'.

Cartoons. They're called cartoons. Or, toons, for short.

but, toons can be mistaken for tunes, like music.

Yeah, true. If you're saying it and not writing/reading it.
