Knight Announcement! READ!

After a lengthy branstorming session and at the suggestions of several people, I've decided to create Chapters of the Knights on other boards. However, this leads to a problem or two...1. Who will lead the knights on those other boards? I can't lead them all or be on all of them at the same time, so I will have to pick out Chapter leaders...Also, although we are the Knights of CAA, should we change our names so we can be affiliated with all of the chapters on all of the boards? Or should we have an over group which controls all the chapters? Its time to brainstorm people...I want the council here discussing this and all of the knights giving their opinion here. No idle chatter, please....

Since, I really don't know who is on the council. . . I am going to post here anyway.
Ideas/questions:
Should we limit other boards to other christian ones?
I would say no, because I want us everywhere, but I also say no, not right now. Start with the first step. Maybe 1 or even 2 boards.
Choosing Chapter leaders?
By there loyalty and involvent. Posts would not be a good measuring stick. As it would seem I have you beat, but you have more postition.
Changing the name? Only slightly.
Maybe something like. Knights of (insert general acronym here) Christiantity/God/the lord. . . yeah none of those work well. . .
We could always go to Soldiers of Christ, right?
Home base? Home base should be here, where it all began. Maybe until we find a more solid place. Although it doesn't look like I will depart from here.
If I do it would be for a catholic website. . and they don't have any of those related to anime. .. . I guess even there I would go have soldier of Christ in my sig, so close enough.
yeesh I hope I am being helpful . . . .

I should probably get this out in the open right now, but if you do decide to follow through with a "missionary" type group like this, there is no guarantee you will be sanctioned or approved by CAA officially. The staff and I are discussing this matter right now, and while we can't stop you from doing what you will, we do have the right to back it or not.

Of course. That is why I am forming an Over Group which will govern ALL the chapters, and it will not be sponsered by CAA. We will maintain the Knights here, and anything pertaining to CAA will go into the hands of the Knights of CAA, that way we can do "missions" work without involving your names in the whole deal. However, thats far in the future, so please don't withdraw our officiallity just yet, as I am hoping that above arrangement will keep the Knights of C.A.A here and happy while forming a higher governing body to govern it and any future chapters, as well as finding Chapter leaders. Please everyone remember that this IS in the future, so don't go doing anything stupid, but this IS an issue. I hope that CAA will continue to support the Knights of CAA, while allowing the Council to rule over any other future chapters.
These are two ideas of mine, that kind of conflict...
1.This Overgroups governing body will be called The Council, which will rule the other chapters, of course, and all those who request dual membership (To be an official Knight of C.A.A and to be a member of the non-C.A.A backed Knight group) to join the larger group will be called Knights of the Cross, for all those who go to other boards and establish chapters there. Anyone with Ideas as to where we should go, please pm me.
2. That we stay the knights of C.A.A, and focus on spreading the word of C.A.A's existance to fellow brethren looking for a resting place like this, and we continue to be one group instead of two affiliate groups like the above proposal.

Well, I would like it to just stay at CAA. *gets whacked over the head by other knights* o_O Eeep! ...I feel uncomfortable about it becomming such a big organization. I would like the Knights to just stay being my buddies at CAA. Besides, our slogan closely fits with CAA. "To protect, To serve, to Anime!" I defititely don't want to change that...or the name.

I'm not completely sure yet how I feel about this issue. I have to give it some more thought, reasoning and prayer before I post where I definitely stand.
However, I'm a bit confused. Why create Knight Chapters on other boards? What exactly do you want these Knight Chapters to do? I was under the impression that the Knights of CAA were more geared towards welcoming newcomers to CAA and making them feel welcome.

Well yes, that is true. The Knights were created to Serve CAA in one way or another. And the theoretical chapters on other boards will be able to serve that board, and direct people here. I'm keeping the knights of CAA and the Mission group Knights of the Cross seperate, therefore those who just want to stay here can and still be official, while those who want to go to other boards with a specific mission in mind can do that without making CAA look bad should somthing go wrong.

Considering that the Knights aren't very stable on these boards, I think such a move would be a bit early, if we wish to do it at all. Perhaps it should be ensured that the idea works and can be effective before spreading it across the internet rapidly?
I can tell you that I will be unable to serve anywhere else. CAA absorbs the majority of the internet time that I have to spare.

Of course, UC. I know your busy enough without the knights; putting you in charge of too much would wear down on you. I want you to stay here and build a council, or at least awaken this lazy one, and get them to thinking...I'd like someone else to shoulder some of the burden, and I don't want to be a dictator....

So, we should focus on beefing up our activity on this site. I'll go with that. Although as soon as school starts my presence here may vanish.. college..

I probably have no business saying something since I'm not a knight. Pls feel free to ignore my opinion.
My two cents, I think you guys ought to focus on seeing what good you can do within CAA (welcoming newbies and watching out for others in prayers or needs) and promote CAA on other forums.

Well, since i'm a new knight my opinion probably doesn't mean much. I unfirtuantely allways have a busy schedule. I'd like to just stick to CAA. I mean, in my mind, if we start setting up posts on other sites it might confuse the other people on them. Don't know if I was making any sense or not....sorry. Well, like I said, I think it should at least stay on CAA for now. If it does move into other sites, I would prefer to stay here....thank you for patiently listening to me. ^_^

Hmmm... not a bad idea, but like UC said, it would be a bit early to try something like this. Not to mention that on these other boards we would have to get to O.K. from their mods. If it could be pulled off, it would be cool. Umm... well, before starting anything like this, check and see exactly who among the knights are on what boards and how often they are on them, it might make the selection of "chapter leaders" a lot easier.

I actually agree with Mave and bakura_fan. There's no real need for us to expand outside of CAA other than to promote the site. It kinda sounds like a cool idea, but I can see there being too much work involved, and at least for me it would probably just make it less fun.

I'm with UC and Vash on this one Zarn-dono. It's an awesome idea and I'd be totally for it and even volunteer to become a leader on a board just because I think missions work is highly importent. But we have issues here thast need dealt with first and we need to strengthen as a group and as a spiritual body before we can move on. Once that happens I am 100% behind you on it.

Well. to be more redundant than usual. I am with everyone on the increasing of our power/presence/spirituality/etc. here before we move on. Yes that's all.
