Online privacy/trust advice

Hey guys... I just wanted to give a little reminder about online privacy, if someone gives your their SN, and it isn't listed publically, please PLEASE, don't give it out without their permission... I only give my SN out to people I trust, and its just wierd seeing someone I don't know IM me... I feel like my pirvacy has been breached you know? So yeah... if someone's trusted you with their SN, please don't give it out unless you get an okay....

I agree, and if you DID get their SN from the boards, and they had it up publicly, just clarify who you are first. I can't tell you how many times I got confused and almost blocked people because I didn't know who they were. So, please, identify yourself quickly when talking first-time.

Yeah, that happens to me once in a great while, one of my friends has like over 10 screen names. It makes me crazy. -.-

I agree. It's always kinda wierd...cause you need to figure out who they are and introduce yourself in a way that'll make sense ... like real name or CAA name...etc...

I'm still having problems from like, months ago when someone sent his buddy list to a bunch of people, and I was on it...? or something...people keep saying "you're on my list" or "someone sent me their list". really annoying. I'm about to make my screenname private again.

Yea I have people who go hi! and then ask who I am! I hate ppl sending their buddy list out with me on it! So frustrating . . .
But yea, I agree, if somone had trusted you with their SN DO NOT give it out!
