Yeah, I guess I will definitely make an exception for your parents, and I can't blame them for loving the Rockies. As for you and your Raider-cheering, I guess you could keep that. I find that having sports rivalries always makes things interesting.
Case in point, I am from Colorado, but regularly cheer for the Colorado Avalanche's biggest rival, the Detroit Red Wings. Why? Because I followed the Red Wings while the Avalanche were still called the Quebec Nordiques, so I guess I'm loyal in that regard. Anyway, having the gall to wear a Red Wings Jersey around the state gets me into less trouble, and more great conversations about hockey than you might think. Also it is great fun to see the rivalry come playoff time, even if the Avalanche fans constantly berate you with "Red Wings Suck" everywhere you go.
Still, the rivalry thing always works if you are a sports fan first, and a hometeam fan second. That way regardless of who you are cheering for, you are still able to appreciate the great performances of any athlete or team in your sport of choice.
Sorry, that was way off topic.
I miss hockey.
