That should be kept in PM probably since peoples locations will start getting thrown around if we're arranging that, or off site completely. It might be too early as well since there will most likely be some additions to the trip in the next few months.

traditionally the meetup for CAA has been on saturday, so monday is... less important. I would suggest to those that are considering single day passes to chime in sooner rather than later though. The 4 day folks arn't really as much of a factor in figuring out the meeting info as the single day peoples.

I kind of.. don't want to do the CAA hand thing, mainly because I'll be in cosplay form for the whole con. D: How about a sticker on our badges (if that's allowed)? Better yet, we could arrange for a meeting site on one of the days!

Chiming in to say that I won't be writing anything on my person, since I've got enough costume makeup to take care of without having CAA written on me. XD;

I think the best way to find each other would be just to have an established meeting place/time or cell phones for those who feel comfortable doing that (keep those to PMs, of course). I know this year AX is cracking down on people holding signs, so those are a no go. ^-^;

Also, having a day for saying "hallo!" planned as soon as possible would be nice. XD; My schedule's already filling up with cosplay stuff.

I've never seen any of the sign or other things work at ALL so I'm gonna say we should just arrange a meetup right quick. Locke tried a sign several years back and it really didn't do a lot of good, and it was on the end of a bokken over the crowd. Traditionally the day has been SATURDAY for the meetup, and, unless someone overrules this... I propose saturday again. The place will need to be fixed a little more solidly, though I'm considering maybe meeting at the hotel that y'all are staying at in the morning so those who are hoteling can get a ride to the convention center rather than walking 5 miles, then we can pick up any late-comers at the convention center through cell/text communication to lasso them into a current location.

Just so ya know Sunako, so long as phones are working you'll be finding the CAA peeps just fine without any sign stuff.

In the past we have met up at the convention center. At that point we usually talk about what we want to do and any other plans we have for the day. With cell phones and a bit of planning, leaving the group and returning later has not been problematic.

If we do meet up on Friday, I highly recommend going through registration on Thursday night, as registration on Friday has taken up to half the day in the past.

Hmm well the D Grey meet seems shorter than the Death note meet up, so saturday sounds like a better day, especially with the registration issues that'll crop up on friday for the single day participants. People don't have to be with us all day. Sunday and Monday are bad days in general for single day people since they're a lot less likely to be free. Saturday is looking probable unless someone comes up with a REALLY good reason to do it another day. I forgot abotu the registration issue. We don't have to hang out all day, but can, as we have in the past, come together and break apart throughout the day.
