Christians is a broader term, in that "citizens" makes less sense on a forum that has members from many countries. You could, of course, be referring to the fact that we are citizens of God's kingdom, but in my mind the difference is negligable.

Thank you for clarifying for me (as well as the person who requested the information). My response to the delimma is that as Christians we are required to seek out third ways to avoid sinning in any way. A nice ideology, sure, but I believe that it has practical application.

MOST Amatuer Porn (the kind that's free) is stored illegally on servers that don't allow adult content. in order to get a lisence to store Porn on your server you'd have to find a hoster that allows it (rare) but costs up to 3 times more $$$, or run your own, (difficult to upkeep)
It is very possible to get a group together, find these websites, report them to their hosters and have them shut down.

If there's going to be a posse out to hunt down illegal porn sites, I'll have to insist that there's no recruiting on these boards. When Mom catches little Jimmy hunting down illegal porn, I'd rather little Jimmy not say "But Mom! I'm doing it with other people from the Christian Anime Alliance!" That'll go over like a fart in church. I'll not discourage, encourage, or even give my opinion of the idea, but it's not to be connected to CAA in any way.

We need a group to work on this. I've been trying to work on this by myself but I've found that it's nearly impossible to access info on these sites.
When Volt was talking about illegal storing, was he refering to the sites not knowing about the porn on there, or about the sites themselves doing it?
I'll continue to try, but some support would be appreciated. let's work together to shut it all down!

As a newb, nobody knows me and the fact that I'm in or not will surely not change a thing. By the way, I'm not christian, and hope that I will not be kicked off the baords for that .
Anyways, I think we should do something to stop this overflow of porn on internet cause it's accesible to little childs and seing those things isnt always pleasant when your surfing. If I can help of any manner I'd be there. Riiiight... there.

Aside from it not being connected with CAA or it's members, there would be requirements to any "volunteers" like 18+ only. And only accept members who we've met or are freinds with and know they have a strong relationship with God, unaffected by porn and it's filth.

I have to agree with the voice of dissent. I have not even seen this until now, or believe me you would have heard from me before. This is a bad idea and is an open door inviting all those who are trollish to come forward. Haven't there already been two here?
First off, we are on a Christian site, which means naturally all of us should be against porn. If you are not, I doubt you will be telling anyone here.
Second, its not fair that the anti-hentai thread was closed and this one has remained open.
Third, as believers we should be emulating all that Christ IS, not all that He is not. Whenever you have an "anti" anything club it will bring forth those who are pro. Rather, let the lost come here and see us being of good will, kind and preaching Christ. Sin is sin and just because it's porn doesn't change the message of needing a Savior. Plus, you are recruiting kids on this board under 18, and what you suggest will bring them into a world they should not step into anyway.
Fourth, this is a family-friendly site. I listen to a Christian radio station which promotes being family friendly. I have never heard anyone talk of anything other than Christ on this station and play Christian music. They don't gather and have meetings talking over all the bad in the world, and they are one of the top stations in the Dallas area, even among some of my friends who aren't really believers because they know their kids will not hear anything nasty. In this way the message of Christ is so much more effective.
Fifth, since when did the mission of CAA change to "let's get together a posse and go after all those things that offend us?"
Sixth, why not get an account outside of CAA and start your CRAP group, but really, CAA is NOT the place for it to meet. CAA has another purpose given by God, and I know that it is not to make one new group after another to tear apart each and every sin in the world. It is a group of fellowship of those who love Christ and enjoy anime, and it would be wrong to change the mission statement now. God has blessed you with CAA for the reason it was first created, and He will continue to bless it if it doesn't go off course.

I am not entirely sure why this thread was let go....that, I will personaly take responsibilty for. The staff should have locked this and referenced the last anti-porn thread. I must say I agree with TNC. I have seen this before with music..."anti'devil metal" Just an excuse to hate and be angry. Don't misunderstand though, the staff is not pro-porn. However, we are also not going to "get together a posse and go after all those things that offend us" Thus this thread is locked. It can serve as a reference point for future threads that may try to tread this similar area. I will say this. If you have a problem with somthing, porn for example. Find a strong brother or sister in the Lord here on CAA....as there are many. First 2 that leap to my mind are Rev Doc and TNC. (kind of adopted parents for all of us lol) I am sure they would be more then happy to talk, and pray with you on anything your facing.
