You've never heard of Job?

[Sorry, that was completely required. Quotas, you know.]

Hello, TheeBee. Glad you learned how to post. Remember your legs next time (insider's joke).

To answer any questions: his referance to the book of Dogma is just an allusion to the Movie "Dogma," which he likes considerably.

I see...In that case I have heard of it.

That is a good movie, although not the best place to get your theology.

As for Job, that must be in the Apocrypha or something... :P

The Book of Job comes right before the Psalms ;)
We in our foolishness thought we were wise
He played the fool and He opened our eyes
We in our weakness believed we were strong
He became helpless to show we were wrong

In relation to the movie... it has its own thread, actually. I'd be interested in hearing your thoughts on it, if you want to make the effort of finding it in the movie forum. Not that it needs to be seriously discussed theologically (heh), but it still has some interesting points. Also, it has actually accomplished a fair amount of outreach, in that it is a critique of the church.

It's actually a song by The Byrds, not the Beatles, and I think the title is "Turn Turn Turn."
To all, life thou givest, to both great and small.
In all life, thou livest, the true life of all.
We blossom and flourish as leaves on a tree
And wither and perish, but naught changeth thee.

Old Testament:
1 and 2 Samuel
Psalms
Jeremiah
Eziekel
Daniel

New Testament:
John
Phillipians
Revalation

I think my all time favorite would probably be either the Psalms, Jeremiah, or Revalation.
