Don't know what Vegemite is like, and don't know what deep-fried butter would be like. I thought chocolate marshmallows on chocolate cereal was bad enough with Count Chocula.

You ain't seen nothing yet.

You may as well just eat 4 sticks of butter if you wanted to kill yourself that fast.

The man who created the fried butter also created fried Coke, though. So, this shouldn't be surprising.

I may be very uneducated in the art of deep fried foods, but how in the world is Deep Fried Coke possible o.O?

I'm not a HUGE fan of butter anyway, so no thankies, but thank you for the offer, Sir 8D

Fried Coke is frozen Coca-Cola-flavored batter which is deep-fried and then topped with Coca-Cola syrup, whipped cream, cinnamon sugar, and a cherry.

Please tell me I'm not the only one that's kind of offended and grossed out by this. XD

Upon contemplation, I'm sorry to say, it doesn't sound that bad tasting.

Don't worry, I am aghast, too.

I am from Texas and considering the crazy heart stopping food they make at the Texas state fair...
..it was only a matter of time. :forehead:

As a Texan I will never eat anything like that, from the state fair. This embarrasses me and disgusts me as a Texan. :shake:

I will stick with the sugar coated funnel cakes, thank you very much! :P

Sadly...that is probably the healthest thing there. :(

Memories of a horrible taste that wouldn't leave my mouth, with nothing remotely tasty in the positive end (except individual size peanut butter...) to help me get rid of it.

That's the memories hearing of vegemite give me... Well, in part. There are other memories it gives me of my time in Australia, but they're not related to food.

I'd like to add that the South != the whole of the US, nor does Texas = the whole of the south either... I'm sure every region has its own food that wouldn't be appreciated on a global front, but I don't think I'd eat most of those things either.

Vegemite is great with some butter on toast, but you're only meant to put the smallest amount of Vegemite, otherwise it does taste like crap. Vegemite with avocado is also very nice.

Yeah, deep-fried GRAPE butter is what really grossed me out.

Otherwise, it's just like putting butter on a bunch of french fries...wait that's gross too.

Ok, fried twinkies, ice-cream, oreos and butter. But fried coke?

Oddly enough, looking at the picture/description, fried coke seems to be the lesser of many evils in that list. It's basically just little donut holes or fritters with syrup on top, right..?

Hmm, that makes a lot whole more sense then what I had imagined.. not sure what that was, but yeah xDD;

This thread seeped into my dream two nights ago o___o;

I was in math class back in my old high school and Mith was teaching the class xDD; There were a few other CAAers like Ryan, Corrie, Mary, and Fish as well 8D

We were going to be treated with a special treat.. That special treat being deep fried butter xDDD;

Back to real life for a sec: Fish had mentioned pizza that very night I saw this thread and pizza also seeped into my dream xDDD

Back to dream: The other treat was pizza.. I'm not a huge fan of butter in general *Ducks and covers*, so I passed and went for the pizza 8D~~~

"What was that about, Tsuki?" you may ask? I just felt like sharing that with you guys (<3) XDD

Well your dream does relate to the topic in a way Lady Tsuki. I wonder if that butter had olive oil in it?

I'd be interested to see it, even if I wouldn't eat it. This of course coming from the girl who enjoys the Extreme Kreme on occasion. It's a local creation consisting of a bacon burger on a toasted glazed Krispy Kreme doughnut.

Sounds about as healthy and delicious as eating a deep fried shoe.

it's amazing what people will come up with.

No deep-fried butter at the NC State Fair this year (sadly), but there were deep-fried concoctions of all other types, so I got myself a deep-fried Twinkie (the deep-fried pecan pie sounded good too).

However this year DID produce an amazing thing I had never heard of before and will be looking forward to from now on. That thing would be chicken-fried bacon. It is amazing. I'll also have to try the chocolate-covered bacon next year too (quite a few stands selling that).
