Nowadays, any hint of 'acting up' requires a gajillion pills.

Well I'm near sighted. Aside from that...I'm pretty sure that I'd have been diagnosed as having ADHD when in fact I just don't like having crap forced down my throat and I'd rather actually use my brain to learn. (Good thing I was homeschooled.) Aside from that I have a problem of randomly getting cuts that I have no clue how they happened. Though I don't think that's a disorder as much as me being a little too adventurous at times.

I wish they made prescription night vision glasses. Some places are really hard to see when you're driving at night. Sure, they'd be beyond expensive, but so worth it!

As for me, I have a mild case of right hemipeligic Cerebral Palsy
and I have to wear one of these things! http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Image:Ankle-foot-orthosis.png
That's to control my stability and balance, which especially helps, considering I'm a klutz. My CP affects my right arm and leg, and supposedly my eye as well, which is strange because it's the better of the two. Over the years I've been trying to master my disability, as in not allowing it to get in the way of driving and typing and stuff (I'm going to be driving with a spinner knob and a left footed gas pedal!)
But for an impatient person like me, it's tough especially, because I get frustrated extremely easily. All it seems to do is hold me back in areas I want to pursue, like sports, if I could do sports well, I'd play them, but I cannot...:(

And I have ADHD  Such a fun syndrome~

My 2 year old niece Abigail (Gigi for short) was born at 23 weeks and has a severe case of Cerebral Palsy but she is the most beautiful thing I've ever seen. And even though her development is very slow she is in so good spirits. And my older sister is suffering from a case of MS and she's taking medication for it...she's a klutz as well but she's a blessing in disguise. She doesn't let it get her down at all...though we all worry about her she keeps a great sense of humor about it.

Hmm... Nope, not a thing wrong with me. At least, nothing they like to think can be cured with pills.

I have this weird focusing thing, where it's hard for me to focus on one thing at the same distance for a long time, I'm farsighted, and I have asthma.

As an actual ADHD sufferer, I'm not entirely certain what this was supposed to mean, but I can assure you that there is a wide difference between this perception and actual ADHD.

I'm guessing that you are referring to a common, serious misconception of ADHD as being an excuse created by teachers in order to 'drug-down problem children.' This piece of propaganda by anti-educational-system demagogues completely ignores the fact that typical ADHD medicines are stimulants, not tranquilizers.

I need my medication, not because I'm some kind of addict (since I regularly run out and go several days before getting my prescription refilled, I know darned well I'm not addicted. After kicking the nicotine habit about ten years ago, I'm very familiar with what withdrawal is like) but because I would lose my job if I tried to go without it for very long. When my ADHD is in control, I'm just not a reliable employee.

Please be careful what you believe about this, or any other disability which has been plastered with a negative label. You may find yourself accidentally offending an actual victim of it.
May the Lord bless you and keep you.
May He cause His face to shine upon you.
May He lift up His countenance and grant you peace.

Footprints in the sand by Carolyn Joyce Carty

One night a man had a dream. He dreamed he was walking along the beach with the lord.

Across the sky flashed scenes from his life. For each scene he noticed two sets of foot prints in the sand: one belonging to him the other to the lord.

When the last scene of his life flashed before him, he looked back at the foot prints in the sand.

He noticed that name times along the path of his life there was only one set o footprints.

He also noticed that it was at the lowest and saddest times of his life.

This really bothered him and he questioned the lord about it:

"lord, you said once i decided to follow you, you'd walk with me all the way. But i have noticed during the most troublesome times in my life, there is only one set of foot prints. I dont understand why when i needed you most you would leave me."

The lord replied:

"My son, my precious child, I love you and would never leave you. During your times of trial and suffering, when you see only one set of footprints, it was then that i carried you."

Disabilities:

Hearing loss

I don't think the other two count as disorders, but I was born with a heart problem and I have HIV/AIDS from bad blood giving to me, when I had my heart surgery at 16 months old.

No I know that ADHD is real and that there is a need for medication for it and I'm sorry for coming off wrong and being offensive about it. The reason why I said that though is because I know of many misdiagnosed people who are said to have ADHD when in fact they don't.
