Thanks... I'm glad you think so... :)... and yeah arabic can be very peotic, though mainstream arabic (slang that is) is much less poetic.

[quote="USSRGirl"]My name so far as I know (if anyone out there is fluent in ancient Mongolian I'd love some help in this) is a variation of Temujin which means either "iron enforcer" or "iron man," therefore to the best of my knowledge Temulin means something like "iron enforcer" in the feminine or "iron maiden" like the torture device. ]That.is.COOL! You should start introducing yourself as Iron Maiden :P...

The meaning of the name Kelly is Bright-headed

:eyebrow: Would that imply baldness? Because I most certainly am not. Off on the mark if it's suppose to mean 'smart', too.

I haven't found my name in on a site of baby names yet. In a book I once saw that it means: From Across The Meadow. Or, if you combine meanings of various parts of the name, you get: Beloved From The Lake, which is interesting when you also consider my middle name, which means: Sea Of Bitterness...

Accidental similarity: Christ and cross aren't related to one another etymologically. (Indeed in biblical Greek, 'cross' is 'stauros', which is more like 'stake' or 'yoke'.)

Alright, I looked it up to make sure. And my name in full?

First: Raven from the hollow, seething pool.
Middle: God is my Vow
Last: Contention.

First thing that came to my mind?

"I coulda' been a contender."

That's really amusing, though. XD

First: Sara
Origin: Hebrew
Meaning: lady/princess in Hebrew; apparently it also means 'garland' in some different origin, but I couldn't confirm it

Middle: Katherine
Origin: Greek
Meaning: Pure

My last name is derived from a town in England.

So combined, I'm apparently a pure princess/lady from said English town.

:D

Could be worse. When I was writing _Cry of Justice_, I temporarily gave my heroine a name derived from the Spanish word for opportunist; and then later it kind of grew on me, so it stuck. {g}

Thus, Portunista! (But it turns out to be a nickname given by her tutors, based on her personality. Her real name is... ... ... given in Book 2. {g!} It's biblical, but I won't spoil it. Fits her nickname in a way, though.)

Name: Eric
Origin: Old Norse word "Erikir"
Meaning: "King" (does not actually mean king, it was the tiltle king...so instead of saying "King [whoever]" for example, the norse would say "Erikir [whoever]

However it is offset by my middle name which means "Wagon" lol

Later some people tried to make it a little more noble than wagon by saying "one who bears a burden"...i must admit that it sounds much better :D
