Dreams

Talk about anything in here.

Alright prepare yourself for a very long, complex, and completely illogical stream of bizarre events.

The dream starts off with me looking for a lost little girl on some kind of mountain located in a small, old-fashioned town area seemingly based on an actual town near my former high school. I find the girl and take her to a place I know she'll be safe. Finding an apartment in the town, I knock on the door and a friend of mine takes us in.

Now at this point, the girl disappears from the dream completely as I look around the "apartment" which is something more of a warehouse/maze. Instantly, I recognize the place from another dream I'd had a few nights ago and I remember it was the stage of a nightmare. All I can remember about the nightmare is that is was, in fact, a nightmare and one that I don't want to re-live so I head out, making it my mission to find my youth pastor and ask him about the whole deal.

Outside the apartment, the setting has changed completely. (This happens a lot in my dreams but for some reason, I always know my way around and where to find people.) I'm now in some kind of world class Japanese-themed resort. I find my youth pastor busy giving counsel to some businessmen and curious college students who have gathered around him but he waves them away and calls for me to come sit with him. So I ask him all about the nightmare-apartment and what my friend was doing there. He looks very sad and leans forward to whisper to me. He asks questions about what I would do if someone very close to me betrayed me and I keep answering, "I don't know." Then he looks like he's about to confess something but before he does, a couple of Asian hitmen (actually one is a woman...yeah) burst into the room and everyone else scatters, leaving them with a clear target...my head. Then my pastor jumps up and takes the bullets for me. The hitmen are moving closer but meanwhile, my pastor looks up at me at says, "I'm sorry. I just wanted to see you grow stronger." But he doesn't die. He just gets up and starts running at the hitman. So I decide not to be a hero and start running for the stairs in classic, "don't go for the stairs! there's never an exit up there!" horror film style.

Upstairs, I hear my pastor fighting both the hitmen and I start feeling like Jack Sparrow rowing away from the Black Pearl. So then guess what. I jump over the railing and fly, as in defying gravity, down to the second floor where I bend gravity even more by rotating sideways and somehow I wind up tackling the woman. Then I hit her over the head with a lamp and tie her hands together with the cord. The man is shooting at me but I have moved beyond all human nature as the bullets are bouncing off of me like little rubber balls. My pastor signals to leave it to him and I decide it's okay to run now. So I do...and where do I go? Right back up the stairs. I'm in a room on the 15th or so floor when I start hearing explosions. One of them is strong enough to blow out the window so I figure it's time to get out. Now that I've successfully defied gravity and all human vulnerability, it's time to conquer my fears. So I take a curtain and use it as a parachute to jump out the window and land safely in a pond of koi fish. Good luck, indeed. Oh, and of course, my pastor comes paddling by in, get this, a wooden tub just like the one from A Spirited Away.

That's where the dream ended. What in the world?
"So David said to Michal, "It was before the LORD, who chose me instead of your father and all his house, to appoint me ruler over the people of the LORD, over Israel. Therefore I will play music before the LORD. And I will be even more undignified than this, and will be humble in my own sight. But as for the maidservants of whom you have spoken, by them I will be held in honor."

2 Samuel 6: 21&22

"I am going to take this bucket of water and pour it on the flames of hell, and then I am going to use this torch to burn down the gates of paradise so that people will not love God for want of heaven or fear of hell, but because He is God."
