They're in the dog family but they're not like dogs at all, they're wild animals and make horrible pets...but they do make excellent companions if you let them act like wolves...which means letting them chew up everything you have. Did you know that wolves explore with their teeth?

They're miserable in a house; they need acres and acres of woodland to run and play in. That's just how God made them. ^_^ I read a book about a couple who raised a wolf. They said "she was a great wolf, but a bad dog."

As I understand it, they are of the same genus (sp), just different species.

Not exactly different species, but they are extremely different when it comes to their brains and personalities.

Dogs are good examples of Loyalty but anyone who says cats aren't loyal don't really know cats. My cats woke my dad one night when thieves were breaking into our house. Sure they couldn't scare the thieves away but my dad's shotgun sure did. Also cats can have different personalities as well such as my pound cat will not eat anything but her cat food and our pure breed cat will eat anything from carpet lint to other cats. She seems to have a particular fondness for provolone cheese.

The difference between cats and dogs:

Dogs think: "Look at these people. They feed me, they give me shelter, they play with me, they trust me, they love me. They must be gods."

Cats think: "Look at these people. They feed me, they give me shelter, they play with me, they trust me, they love me. I must be a god."

I like dogs!
But whatever gain I had, I counted as loss for the sake of Christ. Indeed, I count everything as loss because of the surpassing worth of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord. For his sake I have suffered the loss of all things and count them as rubbish, in order that I may gain Christ and be found in him, not having a righteousness of my own that comes from the law, but that which comes through faith in Christ, the righteousness from God that depends on faith-- that I may know him and the power of his resurrection, and may share his sufferings, becoming like him in his death, that by any means possible I may attain the resurrection from the dead.

Well, it really does depend on the character of that single pet. I know of some cats that behave like dogs (except the drooling) but I'm sure no one can deny the adorable-ness of cute kittens X3. And dogs, while I have never seen one that was cat-like, can be very mellow and not hyper.

Personally, I like dogs, just because there is a larger size range (chiuaua to St. Bernard) plus, once they get to know you they will stay loyal, and so long as you have them "potty" trained and they've went to training school like any other pet, they are easier to take care of (since cat's cough up furballs, have to use kitty litter for bathrooms, and they can ruin good furniture)

Ahh that's too hard to give an exact answer....
I like cats because they can be more independent and still show affection. On the other hand, dogs are a bit more personable, loyal and playful.

Both cats and dogs have their own way of expressing affection... and maintance is a bit different. It just really depends... I love them both :)

Both have some good and some bad traits. But both are loyal and lovable. I still prefer cats because they are softer and more fun to pet. Plus I believe that a dog should have plenty of room to run and play outside. Cats however don't need that much room. Probably because they're lazy but oh well.

God can do anything, anytime, anyway He wants to.......if He wants to paint me blue and hang me upside down nekkid from an apple tree, thats alright, as long as it's God doing it. Of course, if He comes through with a directive like that, I might have to ask for some I.D. Michael Wanke
