Up until about a month ago, we had a place here in Seoul that delivered sushi. Right to your door. California Roll, Rainbow Roll, nigiri sushi... The best offering they had was a "Sunday Roll": salmon, crab meat, bacon, and peanut butter. Seriously. Delicious. Unfortunately, also expensive (about $12 for eight pieces); they are no longer in business.
There's a place in Itaewon, right under the Burger King, go figure, that sells a roll called the "Lion King": basically a california roll covered with cheese and baked. Actually very good, though somewhat of a departure for those sushi purists.
I've had sushi in Seattle, SF, DC, Chapel Hill NC (at a "sushi-go-round")... but, sorry, the absolute best sushi is indeed in Tokyo, at a place in Ginza that sells bento boxes. The rice melts like velvet in your mouth, and the fish is raw and fresh, bought at the Tsukiji Fish Market about two blocks away.
Favorite type of sushi: Unagi (eel), served warm with the barbeque sauce. Man, now I'm hungry....
