Eh, don't worry. I don't have to be exactly near the place, I could willingly book a place 25 min away since I know the nearby places will be fully booked.

I'm going if I can either find a way to crash somewhere for cheap over night or if I can carpool with someone else. I just don't know how alert I would be as a driver if I was coming back as late as I did last time. Although the new territory would be a reason to be more alert, it would also make me worry more about being in a wrong lane or something and I don't have a lot of nighttime freeway experience.

I called shooraijin the other day. He said he doesn't know his schedule for June/July as of now, but he'll let me know when it gets closer. It'd be great to have him participate again.

He's a REAL doctor now, so that means 80hrs. a week in the hospital plus a few strokes at the course. I'm not holding my breath.
