The scientific method," Thomas Henry Huxley once wrote, "is nothing but the normal working of the human mind." That is to say, when the mind is working; that is to say further, when it is engaged in corrrecting its mistakes. Taking this point of view, we may conclude that science is not physics, biology, or chemistry—is not even a "subject"—but a moral imperative drawn from a larger narrative whose purpose is to give perspective, balance, and humility to learning.

I just want a passing grade in Genetics. Despite the sheer volume of information I have to integrate for Metabolic Biochemistry, I actually have a very good feeling about that class since I did very well on the midterm.

I did want an effect pedal board for my bass... then I saw the price...

But I'll settle for some type of mp3 player, as I smashed mine Thanksgiving morning after staying up until 3 am the previous night ripping all my cds to mp3 so I wouldn't have to carry around 200+ cds anymore. *mumbles*

As far as anime goes,I am going to wait until January and then order
Silent Mobius, maybe splurge a little and by the complete boxset(only
$26.98)and then later in February order Dual($26.98 per disk).
If I could for Christmas animewise I would love getting:
*Silent Mobius
*Dual
*Inuyasha Movie #3
*Sailor Moon
*Outlaw Star
Then again that is a bit wishful thinking of me,so I will wait until January
to start buying those titles.
But what I really want for Christmas of course is:

Is this an entire thread talking about all the material stuff that we want/"need" for ourselves?

I may get in trouble for this, but maybe we should have a thread about giving, ..... instead of getting

Man, I was really wanting the Mega Man X Collection and matching GCN controller for Christmas, but it looks like neither will be released until January! What a shame.

Hey, I have an idea! Would any of you all be interested in participating in a little gift exchange? We could throw our names into a pot and then be randomly assigned a person to send an inexpensive gift to. Wouldn't that be fun? It would require two main things: commitment of participants to send the gift as promised (it'd be bad to send a present off and never receive one, or vice versa) and giving out your mailing address. If the mods don't mind this, maybe we can have one person be in charge of collecting names/addies via PM and assigning them.
